Camilla

"Come on Camilla!" Jaden whined pulling me out from the back door of my home, forcing me on the back of his dirt bike parked in the middle of the street.

"We shouldn't be doing this, it's almost midnight and we have school tomorrow!" I whispered, staring back at my home which was lit by the orange street lights.

"We're just gonna have some fun. Hold on," I tightened my grip around his waist, the sound of his engine echoed through the quiet street. We rode along the pathway, speeding through several blocks far from our homes. My hair flipped out of control in the wind, the cold air hitting against my skin in the dead of night.

"Jaden slow down," I hugged onto his back pressing my cheek into his leather jacket, holding on for dear life as he continued to race down the empty roads.

He turned a sharp corner, coming face to face with a cop car. He abruptly braked, almost causing the pair of us to flip over the handle bars.

"Shit." Jaden muffled under his breath, cutting off the engine.

The police officer stepped out from his car, walking up to us with his hands placed on his hips, "Well, isn't it funny to see you two, Thompson and Barnes." His belly bounced as he let out a laugh.

Jaden and I awkwardly stood beside the dirt bike, I fumbled with my thumbs and he lowly whispered 'sorry'.

"You should be more responsible
Barnes, you're almost 18. You can push you're bike back home all those blocks, and I better not catch you riding it. Thompson, come with me." The officer lead me to the back of his car, leaving Jaden to drag along his bike for the next few blocks.

"See you at school?"

"Yeah, I guess." I smiled, sitting in the back seat of the police car.

The officer got in and started his engine, I felt his eyes on me through the revision mirror, "Come on Thompson, you need to stop hanging out with these boys."

I rolled my eyes and folded my arms, staring out the window- even though there wasn't very much to look at. I didn't need to tell him where I lived, as this wasn't the first time. They always catch us at the worst moments.

We pulled up in front of my home, the officer stepped out and I followed behind him. He knocked three times on the door and within seconds the front light lit the porch, my Mum and Dad stepped out, little to no surprise on their face.

"You're daughter's been out riding radically in the streets with that Jaden boy." The officer spoke and he shook his head, looking down to me beside him.

"Jesus Camilla, you're not even sixteen yet. The police have brought you to our door step at least five times this month." My Father spoke sternly, a frown etched in his expression. "I'm sorry about this Officer Bentley. I'll make sure this won't happen again." He added, although his tone wasn't very promising.

"Have a good night." The officer walked off, leaving me in the doorway as my parents stared me down.

"Again Camilla? I thought we raised you better,"My Mum sighed, pulling me into the house.
