Camilla
"It's race day," Justin dragged out each word while shaking my shoulders, encouraging me to break a smile. I lightly pushed him off me only for him to pull me into a hug, swinging me side to side in his arms.
This past week went by too fast, the only eventful thing that happened was the boys playing football together in the backyard. Things have been chill around the Kaos household, which I was soaking in every moment of it. And it's not because of the weed.
Me and Justin had spent most of our time together, even if he's only needed to go to the store, it's good seeing him so straight without his drug, although he snapped maybe once of twice.
Earlier on this week, we all spent the day outside soaking in the last of the September air, sipping on beers around the pool. With little supervision on the house, Justin decided it would be a good idea just to have 'a little hit' to control his cravings. What he didn't know was that Za and the others had thrown away, or used up, all of his supply which ultimately ended in a fuming Justin.
I felt as though his cravings had been bottled up for the past week and a half, and the lid was popped off. Alone inside he was throwing furniture, punching walls, he didn't want us knowing he was having withdraws even though the commotion inside had us all running in his direction anyway. I got up beside him, almost resulting in a punch to the face when he didn't realise it was me. The boys stood back, because they knew that Justin's fists would of been in their faces if I wasn't around.
Justin immediately regretted everything, pulling at the roots of his hair whispering tearful sorrys into my ear, promising that this event wouldn't happen again. He really is an emotional guy, and when he breaks, he doesn't hold back.
Up until this moment he had been fine, we were all pretty hyped about this S versus S race, even though I still felt bad about tying in the first place. I chose Justin and Lewis to race by my side, and we were only waiting for that final text that tells us where the race will start. It was only about five in the afternoon and the tension was starting to build, waiting on this one text.
"I hope we're racing down town, I know that place like my own home," Lewis snickered, playing with the cuffs of his sleeves.
"I heard those girls aren't even from here," Brandon added, lightly scoffing to himself.
"Where are they from then?" Justin questioned, joining the conversation.
"Miami." Brandon responded, licking his lips with a slight sexual look lingering in his stare.
"You might think they're sexy, but they're our opponents, and I don't want any of you boys trying to hook up with them, okay?" Justin snarled, tightening his grip on my waist.
They responded with a nod, a grunt of disappointment rasped from Za's lips, which Justin pointed to him with thin eyes, sending him a jokingly but serious stare.
"Aw c'mon Justin, I bet they'll be all over me," Za playfully rubbed his body, only to make Justin jokingly gag which caused me to crack a giggle.
"Do you want to get something to eat before we go?" Justin leaned down to make sure only I would hear, and I nodded in response.
"Me and Camilla are going to get food, so we'll meet you at the route I guess. Bradon, take my car to the route, I'm going in Cam's car." Justin smiled and got goodbyes from each of the boys, and a nod from Brandon who gladly offered to drive Justins car. They hardly got the chance to drive his precious baby, I felt quite special to have the honour on multiple occasions.
