I strolled down the street in the meantime, my hands tucked at the back pockets of my pants. Stores after store. The streets were quite busy. Cars going back and forth, flashing their headlights. I walked and walked and walked. My head was aching from thinking so hard about what Lisa said. How could the sweetest, most innocent girl I've known, do something completely absurd? That doesn't sound like Lena at all. Lena was never like that growing up. She was always smiling with joy, but she was also the quietest out of the three of us. She was so pure and I still think she is now. I don't think she's changed entirely; there has to be a part of the Lena I knew in her. Even if she's not herself anymore, that won't change the fact that I love her. She'll always be my best friend and no one can change that. I'm going to be by her side every step of the way until she can open up to people again. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to do so, even if it means getting hurt so many times or breaking hearts. I'm not giving up on her because she's worth fighting for, they're both worth fight for. At the corner of my eye, I saw a car spin out of control, it was headed towards my direction. It was like everything around me stopped, it was just me and the moving car. I stared at the car, my feet planted to my spot on the street. It just kept coming and coming. I just stood there like nothing was wrong, but everything was. My life was out of control. As I thought the car was about to hit me, I closed my eyes and shielded my face. Errrk! Crash! I laid lifelessly on my back. My vision was blurry and the back of my head was throbbing with severe pain. Someone was shaking me aggressively. I blinked my eyes repeatedly in a way to steady my vision. Once my eye sight was fine, I saw Lisa. She was kneeling beside me, a few scratches on her. She saved my life again, she tackled me to the ground. Her head was down. I can tell she was crying. When she looked up, she noticed I was fully conscious and hugged me, then pulled away quickly.
Lisa: Are you insane? You could've killed yourself! Do you even care about the people around you! Those people actually care about you! If you want to leave, then leave! I won't stop you from doing so! It's your choice!
Y/N: Lisa, I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention.
Lisa: Damn right you weren't! You almost died!
I almost lost you again! This is the third time!
Y/N: It's okay, Lisa. I'm okay, thanks to you. . . I don't think I can ever repay you for what you've done.
Lisa: I can't keeping having to save your a**. Everything doesn't revolve around you.
Y/N: No one said you have to save me, Lisa. . . I get it. You're tired. Well, guess what. I'm tired too. I'm tired of holding onto things that I know can't be fixed. I'm tired of fighting. I'm tired of loving people who don't love me back. I'm tired of everything. My life is hopeless, I'm hopeless. Why are you even trying, Lisa? I'm just a screw up by my mom and dad! I'm the outsider in my family, Lisa, the ugly duckling.
Lisa: I never thought you felt that way. . . . . I...
Y/N: You don't have to say anything, Lisa. No one understands me anymore.
Lisa: I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to feel that way.
Y/N: Lisa. . .
Lisa: No, I'm so sorry.
As a way of shutting her up, my lips traveled to her forehead and then I pulled her into a hug.
Y/N: Lisa, I don't want to leave you or Lena. You two are the only reason why I'm here. . . . .
Out of the blue, Lisa's boyfriend, Spencer, showed up in front of us.
How will Spencer react?
