She was interrupted again by her boyfriend.
Spencer: How do you like it here?
Y/N: I love it here. It's nice to be home again. I never liked my current residence. So, you never got to tell me your name.
Spencer doesn't give her a chance to say.
Spencer: What's your number? We should really hang out some time because I'm sure you don't know much people here. We'll even give you a tour around Germany if you would like.
Y/N: I would really love that.
I rummage through my purse and look for a scrap piece of paper; I ended up tearing a piece from my notebook. I scribbled down my number on it and handed it to Spencer. Just on time, we arrived at my dad's residence, my old home before the move.
Driver: Wir sind hier.
English: We are here.
I gave him money and we both got out of the car. I closed the door behind me, the windows were rolled down. The driver helped me with my luggage and he brought it to my doorstep. After he'd done so he went back into the taxi. I said goodbye to them. I walked back to the doorstep and paused before I rang the doorbell. I never got the chance to know mystery girl's name. When I turned around to go ask, they had already driven off. Her name will always remain a mystery to me. I walked back to the doorstep and rang the doorbell. An old man came to the door; it was my old man. I sprung my arms around him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Y/N: Dad, I've miss you so much! Oh, right. Papa, ich habe dich so sehr vermisst.
Y/D: Don't worry, I've been practicing my English for you. Happy belated birthday.
We chuckled a bit and I pulled him into another hug. I never realized how much I missed and needed him in my life. I burrowed my head into his shoulder and cried a bit.
Y/D: There, there, my princess.
No one has called me that in a while. He was the only one who called me that. I pulled back after a few minutes. I was curious about things.
Y/N: Dad, how are things here?
Y/D: Things are good, but it could've been better with you here.
Y/N: Lisa and Lena... Where are they? Do they still live next door? Are they looking for me?
Y/D: One question at a time. Now, well I'm not sure where they are; they moved out from their house so many years ago. After that, we stopped staying in touch, but they constantly asked for you when you left. I'm sorry, sweetie.
Y/N: It's okay. I must unpack my gatherings. I want to look for them. I must see them, dad.
Y/D: But, you've just arrived. Can't you stay and spend time with me?
Y/N: Please, I haven't seen them in years! We'll have until later to catch up on my life.
I give him a pleading look. He sighs heavily.
Y/D: Okay, but you promise?
Y/N: I promise.
Y/D: I'm sure you can find out which room is yours.
I grabbed my things and ran up the stairs. It didn't take me long to find my old room, still the same as ever. [insert color] walls, decorated with picture frames that hung against the wall. A mess of my clothes on the floor from the night when my mom and I decided to move out. Everything left the same. I walked to my desk and saw drawings, drawings of my parents and I. We were having a picnic at the park. I still remember parts of that day. It was the best day of my life. My parents were beaming with joy. They had just told me I was going to have a little brother that summer. It was also the worst summer of my life. That summer a lot of things happened. My mom losing the baby, my parents fighting constantly, from day to night, and then my mom finally giving up on fixing things with my dad. She gave up when she could've held on just a little bit longer! She could've fought for their marriage! Love is supposed to be eternity. What happened to their marital vows? What happened to for better, or for worse, in sickness, and in wealth? What happened to us?
