(Song of the Chapter: Cold Weather)
Lightning struck from the sky. The rain pelleted the windows and roof of the car. The whirring of the windshield smacked drops of rain from blocking the view of the road. Every time the drops were cleared it got wet again. The road was nowhere to be found. We veered off to the side of the road as a big truck came directly at us. Its lights beaming brightly. The taxi along with us in it, summited into the lake after rolling over repeatedly and falling off the Strüssen bridge. The water was too strong, making it impossible to escape. Slowly, the car floated to the bottom of the lake. Oxygen was being replaced quickly by water that escaped through the cracks of the car. The driver was out cold, so I started to panic. I kicked and I kicked the doors of the car, in hope that it would break open. The water was up to our chins. I bobbed up and down, gasping for air. The water kept coming and coming. It filled every inch of air that was left in the car. I held my breath and went to the driver. I tried waking him up and checking his pulse, there was nothing there. He was out of shape. My vision was blurry. My head was pounding and the sound of the rippling water was fading. I fought to keep my eyes open, but it was too heavy for me to handle. I drifted away into total darkness. I felt like I was floating freely in the water like an astronaut in space. Maybe it was just my imagination or maybe it was reality. Is this what it's like to be in heaven? Am I dreaming? Why is it so bright all of a sudden? Are those voices? Lisa? Lena? My eyes won't open! I just want to see them! Come on! I tried to make any kind of movement. I forced myself to squeeze every part in my body, even just the slightest movement would be fine. Suddenly, my chest was compressed with such weight and I felt something soft on my lips. I rose up from what seemed to be a hospital bed. I was spitting up tons of water.
Who saved your life? What is it Lisa or Lena?
