(Song of the Chapter: Doubt)
Y/N: Huh– Never thought I'd be seeing you again. Lisa, how many years has it been? Six, seven–
Lisa: Eight.
Outside the door I could see a blur of men in black uniform. They were my security and bodyguards.
Security: You can't be in here Ms. without having an appointment. You have to leave.
They start to grab her by the arm, leading her out the door.
Y/N: No, stay.
Security: Are you sure, Ma'am?
Y/N: Yes, you guys can go now.
They all nod their heads and leave.
Y/N: Take a seat, Lisa.
I gesture for her to take a seat on my couch.
Y/N: So–
Lisa: How are you?
I chuckle a bit and put my straight face on.
Y/N: Lisa, I'm sure you didn't come here to catch up, but for the job. Correct?
Lisa: Yeah, sorry.
Y/N: How'd you hear about the open jobs in my agency?
Lisa: It's your agency? You established this?
Y/N: Why, do you sound so surprised? Do think I'm not good enough to handle such a task?
Lisa: No, absolutely not. I know you can manage. I was just surprised.
Y/N: Okay, we're off topic. Tell me, why do you think you're good enough to be in my agency?
Lisa: For instance, I have tons of experience. I've been signed to model for many big time fashion designers.
Y/N: I'm impressed.
Lisa: So, am I hired?
Y/N: Not quite. You have to prove to me that you can sell any product. Put on a little show for me right now. I want you to make me buy what you're selling.
Lisa: S..s...show?
Y/N: Yes, Lisa, a show. Let see it.
She begins to unbutton her top, but I stop her.
Y/N: No, not that. I mean model for me, Lisa.
Lisa: Right, sorry.
She buttons it back up. I sat on the armchair across from her. She towered above me with her glossy red high-heels and blood red lipstick. Her hair was all messy and wet from the rain. I clenched my teeth and gulped down on the saliva that built up in my mouth. I looked at her up and down, from head to toe. She centered herself at the very end of the room. She crossed her legs and uncrossed them, sexily walking towards me. Is it just me or is it hot in here? I sit all the way back in my chair. My eyes do not leave her, not even for one second. Control your hormones, Y/N. Stick to the plan. This isn't apart of the plan, this isn't apart of the plan, Y/N! Act cool, act like you're not affected at all. Keep your cool. I give her the plainest face I could do. I stare at her as she nears me, crossing her legs and uncrossing them. She stumbles over her own foot and trips onto me. One of her knees rested on my lap while she balanced herself with her other leg. Her hand was on my chest, the other on my shoulder. Our lips close to touching.
Y/N: Lisa, please get off of me. Lisa. Lisa–
She attempts to come back up, but slips forward causing for our lips to touch. Her lips are so warm. They taste of cherries. Not cherries– strawberries. I gently push her away.
Y/N: Lisa! If you think I still feel the same way about you well– you're wrong!
Lisa stands up and aggressively slaps me across the face.
Lisa: To think I'd actually love someone like you! Never! You're just a pathetic player! You played us all! You made Lena believe you actually loved her! You made me believe you actually cared about me! How could you do this to me, to us?!?
Y/N: I don't want to talk about it.
Lisa: Give me a reason, damn it! . . . . .
Will you tell Lisa the truth behind your breakup or will you lie and take all the blame?
