(Song of the Chapter: I Think I'm In Love)
When I met her eyes, it felt like a part of me still belonged to her. My love for her has been rekindled, but I mean it's not like I ever stopped loving her. I always did.
Y/N: Lisa, hey. What're you doing here?
Lisa: I could ask you the same thing.
Y/N: You first.
Lisa: No, you first.
Y/N: Haven't changed a bit. You're still the same stubborn, Lisa.
We both laughed a bit. Her laugh, I miss it.
Y/N: But, I guess I'll answer your question first. I'm looking for a ring.
Lisa: So, you've finally found the one for you?
Y/N: Yeah, definitely.
Lisa: Who's the lucky person...?
Y/N: Well, it was supposed to be a surprise, but I guess I can tell you now. . . I'm planning on proposing to Lena on Christmas Eve.
She blinked her eyes repeatedly; I definitely took her by surprise alright.
Lisa: Wow, I didn't even know you guys were a thing. She never mentioned anything about being in a relationship.
Y/N: We were supposed to tell you guys that day. So, surprise. . .
Lisa: Very surprised.
I looked down at her hand and admired the sparkling ring on her finger.
Y/N: By the way, congrats on the ring.
Lisa: Look I–
Y/N: I'm happy for you.
Lisa: You don't have to lie to me.
Y/N: I'm not lying to you, Lisa. Now answer my question. Why are you here?
Spencer walks in and interrupts us.
Spencer: There you are, babe!
He purposely kissed Lisa right in front of me.
Spencer: Y/N. Lisa, lets go?
Lisa: Yeah, sure. Bye, Y/N.
Y/N: Bye.
I turned away, trying to hide my anger. I stared once more at the selection of engagement rings. Only one ring caught my eye. It was the one. I can feel it. Without any hesitation, I asked the worker for the price and bought it. I slipped the velvet box into the pocket of my blazer. With the rest of my time, I roamed the other stores and bought a few gifts. In one of the stores, I spotted Spencer and Lisa. They didn't seem too happy at all, at least Spencer didn't. He gripped Lisa's face with one of his hands, her cheeks squished together. You can see the sadness and fear in her eyes. She wasn't happy with him. He raised his free hand, about to smack her across the face. I hurried over to them and pushed him back into one of the rack of clothes. There goes Lisa again, being the hero.
Lisa: Spencer, are you okay, love?!?
She rushes to check him and then spins around to face me.
Lisa: Why'd you do that? You could've hurt him!
Y/N: Lisa, he was going to hurt you! I'm just protecting you!
Lisa: I'm an adult now, I can fend for myself! I don't need you to protect me, okay?!? Just please stay out of it next time! Come on, love.
I hate when she does that! She pushes me away when I'm trying to help her! I care about her! I only want what I think is best for her! Spencer is no good for her! Come on, Lisa! You know you don't love him! Why are you still trying?!? There are plenty of people in the world who are willing to give their heart to someone like you and that includes me. . . . .
Do you think Lisa will ever open her eyes and
realize that you've been here the whole time?
