(Song of the Chapter: Way Back Into Love)
Lisa and Lena knelt on opposite sides of me. My awakening took them both by surprise. The feeling of those soft lips were telling me it was Lisa. She saved my life once more. Maybe I mean more to her than I thought.
Lisa: I tho–
Lena disrupts Lisa by hugging me while I laid on the stretcher in the ambulance.
Lena: I could've lost you tonight. What were you thinking?
Y/N: Of going to see you because I realized after all this time, I still have feelings for you. I love you.
Lisa's expression on her face changed.
Lena: I love you.
All of a sudden, I started feeling lightheaded and blacked out on the stretcher. I woke up to the sound of machines and the soft snores of Lena. She rested her head on her arms which she laid on the open space of the hospital bed. A bag of my blood type ran through the veins on my arm. With all my strength I had left, I reached for her hair and ran my fingertips through it. It was smooth and long. I missed the touch of her beautiful hair. I missed the feeling of getting to call her mine. The sad part was if she didn't feel the same way towards me. Why, couldn't she have chosen me? Was I not good enough for her love? Did I do anything wrong to offend her? The hitch in her breathing told me she was just waking up.
She looked at me with those same eyes, hopeless and sad.
Lena: Hey, beautiful.
Y/N: Hey, gorgeous.
Lena: I missed having you call me that.
If you really missed me calling you that, you could've gone out of your way to call or reach out to me and apologize, but you did not. I was stupid enough to fall for your games, but it all worked out. I fell in love with you and for once, I opened my heart up to someone that wasn't Lisa. The most beautiful thing I've ever done was fall in love with you.
Lena: I tried— I tried to call your dad, but–
Y/N: He's not going to pick up.
She looked at me confusingly.
Y/N: He's–
She immediately hugged me. All the pain from the day I lost him rushed back.
Lena: I'm so sorry.
Y/N: Don't be. It wasn't your fault.
Lena: But, I could've been there for you.
Y/N: You are here now, that's all that matters.
