(Song of the Chapter: Chill Bill ❄️)
The fact that he called her mommy sent chills running down my spine. Mommy? Lisa turned around to face the little boy. She squatted down and he ran into her arms.
Lisa: Hey, my young prince.
She sniffles and wiped the tears. She kissed his forehead. Spencer leaned on the wall staring at the two of them. What hurt more: the fact that she chose to start a family with this beast or the fact that she didn't start one with me?
Little Boy: Why, are you crying, mommy?
She picked the young boy up and cradled him in her arms.
Lisa: I'm not crying. Mommy's just catching a cold.
Spencer: You forgot this in the car.
Lisa puts down the young boy.
Spencer: Charlie, give this to mommy, will ya?
His voice was stern and demanding. The young boy scurries to his father and grabs the packed lunch that was meant for Lisa. He shoves it to Lisa.
Charlie: Here, mommy it's from daddy!
She crouches down so they were both at eye level and she places a kiss on his forehead.
Lisa: Thanks, Charlie.
Charlie: Don't forget to thank, daddy!
She looks into Spencer's eyes and plainly thanks him. No kiss. No nothing, as if they weren't on speaking terms.
Lisa: Thanks.
Charlie: Give him a kiss, mommy! Kiss! Kiss!
Spencer turns his head away and leans forward, waiting for Lisa to kiss him on his cheek. Lisa barely touches his cheeks with her lips and pulls away shortly. He pulled her back in, kissing her hard on the lips. I didn't realize my face was flushed with anger. He pulls back and brings her into the hug, glaring at me behind her back with a smirk on his face.
Spencer: Y/N, right?
Y/N: I'd prefer if you would call me, Ms. [last name].
Spencer: I think I'm okay with calling you by your first name.
My hands clenched tightly. I could literally just pounce on him and beat the living daylights out of him, but I can't. I need to keep my cool in front of Lisa. Proving to her, I don't care, but mainly because their child is in our presence. I unclenched my hands and extended them out for him to grab.
Y/N: Fancy, seeing you again.
He grabs my hand with a tight grip and shakes it up and down.
Spencer: Likewise.
He lets go of my hand. My hand is all scrunched up together and cramped. I repeatedly clench and unclench my hand. Keep your cool, Y/N. Keep your cool.
Y/N: Would you like to stay and watch Lisa's first photo shoot?
Spencer wraps his arm around Lisa, bringing her in close, too close for me to handle.
Spencer: Absolutely, I wouldn't want to miss my wifey's first photo shoot in this company. Who's the owner anyways? I would love for me to meet them.
Y/N: You already have.
His expression changed. He was definitely surprised with the news.
Spencer: You're the owner. I see–
Y/N: Lets go, we don't have much time to waste.
Spencer: Come here, Charlie.
He goes down and opens his arms up. Charlie runs and hugs Lisa's legs. She picks him up, holding him in her free arm. Spencer– lets just say he wasn't pleased at all. I looked down, trying to hide the smile on my face, letting out a low chuckle, but unfortunately not quiet enough. I clear my throat when Spencer caught me laughing to myself.
Y/N: Ehm, Quinn! Please, guide them to the studio for the photo shoot!
Quinn: Yes, Ms. [last name]
I clamp my hand on her shoulder, sending chills down her body, but most importantly making Lisa jealous.
Y/N: Thank you, I just have to get a couple of files from my office.
As they walk away, Spencer stays behind for a quick second and whispers something into my ear. We were standing shoulder to shoulder.
Spencer: Lay a single finger on my wife and you won't live to see another day. Are we clear?
Y/N: Do I threaten you? Because you shouldn't be. Man up, Spencer, you f*cking coward.
I purposely bumped my shoulder into his and walked into my office.
