Chapter 29: Love Hurts

After grabbing the files from my office, I headed over to the studio, my favorite place to be. Heads turned towards me, greeting me with a warm welcome. I politely smile and walk past them. One person caught my eye, it was Spencer. He was talking to one of the models, more like flirting with her. I'm not the kind of person to eavesdrop, but I did anyways. I pretended to start a conversation with one of the other models. In reality, I was listening to their conversation. They were giggling a lot, brushing their hands against one another's skins. I'm pretty sure I saw the girl blushing and biting her lip! Should I tell, Lisa? She'd be devastated, that's if she really loved him but the young boy, Charlie. He'd be heartbroken! Even if he's not my child, I still care about how he feels. What if he witnesses his parents arguing and splitting up just like I had? I wouldn't want him to go through what I've gone through. I know how it feels. I can't let him get away with this. He needs to be stopped before someone he loves gets hurt! Would he even care? Does his family mean anything to him, or is he just a phony, making them believe they have something left in their family worth fighting for? Could he be that
cold-blooded? Am I turning into the kind of beast he is? No, I can't let that happen! Lisa, she may have hurt me, but their son, he's innocent. He doesn't need to get caught in the crossfire, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up. I need to let out the anger  in my heart because I've kept so much rage inside of me. I'm not who I am anymore. I never was the minute I stepped foot onto that plane, onto that airport, onto the European soil. I'm just a complete stranger. I'm not going to let this new part of me consume the real side of me, inside and out.  I'm not going to let Spencer ruin his marriage with Lisa because he made a stupid mistake. I'm going to give him a chance to redeem himself and keep this from Lisa, but he's going to have to prove it to me that he can. I walked up to him with so much confidence, all ready to set him in his right mind. I grabbed him by the collar of his polo shirt and pulled him aside, far away from the model he flirted with.
Spencer: Do you have a problem?
That wasn't a good way to start things off with. He already got on my bad side.
Y/N: I'm going to let that one slide for your own sake.
He smiled at me.
Spencer: You don't scare me, Y/N. Now, what do you want with me as you can see I'm busy.
He gestured to the girl he was flirting with earlier.
Y/N: You need to stay away from her, if you don't want to ruin your image as a father to Charlie.
Spencer: And, what do you know about parenting? Do you have children of your own, Y/N? No? I thought so. So, why don't you get your  f*cking a** and leave me the f*ck alone.
Y/N: Oh please, Spencer do us all a favor. I'm tired of your bullsh*t. I'm trying to save your a** from getting kicked! You want to lose your family?
Spencer: Look, they don't have to know about this and they won't know about this because you're going to keep your mouth shut.
Y/N: And, if I decide to let my mouth run? What're you going to do, kill me?
Spencer: No, but I do know your weaknesses. Why, should I kill you, end your suffering, when I could just continue to watch you suffer. I mean, it must kill you to see Lisa with me.
Y/N: I'm going to tell her.
Spencer: You think she's going to believe you?
Y/N: She has to.
Spencer: Go ahead, tell her. I couldn't care less. 
Y/N: So, you don't care if your son hates you for the rest of your lives?
He paused to rethink his actions.
Spencer: Fine, I'll stop fooling around with other women because I care about my son. He's the most sacred thing I have next to Lisa and the only one who ever loved me.
Y/N: The only one who ever loved you? Lisa, loves you, you scumbag! She wouldn't have married you if she didn't love you! You, you're the one who didn't show any love in your marriage!
Spencer: No, I loved her enough. She never loved me back is the problem. I gave her a child and yet she showed no affection to me. So, don't you ever say I never loved her because I really did. I might've f*cked up before, but what I really know is this, I cared about her more than anyone in the world.
Y/N: What you're doing right now is just going to hurt her. Please, stop. Don't continue whatever fling you have going on with these women because it's not going to do you any good. Lisa, will never love you, if you continue to treat her like this.
Spencer: And, so I'll stop. . . . .
Will Spencer keep his promise?
