“Hello?” Natalie picked up the phone.

    “Hey..”

    “Whats wrong?”

“Can you just...can you come? I don’t want to talk about it over the phone.” I shook my head.

“Sure, I’ll be right there.” I heard her start her car.

“I’m driving now, so I have to go. See you in 10.”

“Ok, Thank you,” I half smiled.

    “Your welcome. Bye,”

“Bye,” I hung up and sat outside the door. Then I got a text a few minutes later saying she was here, so I got up and walked down the stairs to meet her.

--

“Hey, whats wrong girly?” Natalie had her hand in mine as we were walking down  the hallways on the first floor, slowly making out way to the elevator.

“They want to unplug him.” I said it quickly, seriously.

She stopped dead in her tracks.

“Your serious?” She looked at me in shock.

“Yeah, sadly. They’re giving him a week.” I blinked to try and keep the tears back.

    “Thats awful..” She frowned.

“Tell me about it.” I rolled my eyes. We made it to the elevator and waited for it to open, but the second it did..i wished it hadn’t.

Cody was standing inside, but he wasn’t alone. There was another girl with her arms around his neck. There was absolutely no space between them, their lips were pressed together.

I quickly looked at Natalie, who was in tears by now.

“CODY ROBERT SIMPSON I HATE YOU!” She screamed and ran away. Cody jumped and pulled away from the girl. He looked at me, I just glared at him.

How could he do this?! I ran after Natalie. She was running out of the building into the parking lot when i caught up to her.

“Nat! Hey!” I called, but she wouldn’t slow down. I grabbed her hand to get her to stop moving.

“WHY WOULD HE DO THAT?” She looked at me, her makeup was all screwed up because she was crying so hard.

“I don’t know!” I looked back at her. She just stood there.

“You know who that was, don’t you?” She looked at me, still in tears.

    “No,” I shook my head.

“It was his ex, Kelsie.” She shook her head and closed her eyes, “ I don’t blame him though, she’s so much prettier then me.” She walked with me to her car. We sat inside the back seat.

“Not true,” I looked at her. “Your the most beautiful girl I know,” I laughed. It was true, she was stunning. She was actually a model. She mostly did local things, but every once in a while would get a big offer and leave state for a week.

“Yeah right,” She wiped her eyes.

    “Its true.”

Her phone vibrated several times. She looked at them once and didn’t bother to see the rest. They were all from Cody.

My phone went off a minute later, I read it.

‘make her listen! I’m so so sorry, I need to explain.. just..please, have her talk to me.’ - Cody.

‘Y should she Cody?’ I sent back.

I sat there with Natalie in my lap crying into my shoulder. I tried to comfort her, after about 20 minutes, she calmed down enough and stopped crying. She looked in the  car mirror and made a disgusted face.

“I look awful,” She laughed. I fixed her hair as she redid her makeup.

“Thanks Rachel.” Natalie smiled at me while she was opening the door to leave.

“Your welcome,” I got out, so did she. We walked inside the hospital again, on our way to see Greyson.

If he only had a week, I planned on spending every day with him.
