I walked down to the corner of the street. I felt horrible about leaving Greyson. I should go back... But I couldn’t. I took out my phone, and went through my contacts. I thought about calling Natalie, but I knew, she wasn’t who I needed right now.
It was cold, I almost forgot it was October. Every little sound made me jump.
I dialed Cody’s number and waited for him to pick up.
    “Rachel?”
“Hey Cody...can you pick me up?”
    “Sure..where are you?”
“The corner of Greyson’s street. Could you hurry? I don’t like being here alone.”
“Yeah, I understand. I’m on my way, be there soon, ok?”
    “All right, thanks Cody.”
    I sighed and hung up.
Those were the scariest five minutes of my whole life. I just wanted Cody to get here sooner. I crossed my arms, wishing I had brought my sweatshirt. A bright light was at the end of the street, my heart stopped and I squinted to see what it was.
The shape of Cody’s car came into view. I smiled as he slowed to a stop. I sat down and sighed, immediately closing the door. Then, I faced him, noticing he wasn’t alone. In the back seat, I saw Natalie looking at me.
“Hey guys...” I forced a smile.
“You all right? Did Greyson do something to you?” Cody asked as he drove back to his house.
“No..” I sighed. “I just couldn’t be there anymore.”
They didn’t ask me anything until we got back to Cody’s house.
I walked through the doors and smiled. “I haven’t been here in a long time,”
Cody walked Natalie and I down to his room. He had the whole basement to himself, it was fixed up and even had another bathroom. There were at least 5 different guitars in the corner. I smiled and looked around the rest of the room.
    “Rachel? So...what happened?”
I turned around and faced Cody, who was sitting on the edge of his bed next to Natalie. I sat next to him and sighed.
“Lisa she just..” I tried to think of a way to explain it. “She’s not talking to me or Greyson. Or..she wasn’t until now. I wish she wasn’t talking because honestly its better than this..”
Cody and Natalie were both waiting for me to go on. I sighed and looked up at them.
“Well, she knows I’m pregnant of course, and she just..doesn’t want to accept it I guess. At dinner tonight, Alexa was gone on a date, and then Lisa made a comment about trust which made Greyson upset...then he just stated...Oh I don’t know, but Lauren made a comment about how she would of waited until marriage, Lisa agreed and wished Greyson was with someone like her,” I was crying by now, Cody reached out and hugged me, not letting go. I cried into his shoulder, and then pulled away. “She said he should be with someone who wont force him to do things when he’s not ready. What hurts the most is she’s right! I made him do it, its my fault,” I was shaking, Cody shook his head.
“Rachel, Its no ones fault, she needs time. Its just like back in January, give her a week.”
“But its not Cody! I went to leave and Lauren asked me if i was running away from my problems again, which is what I’m doing now! I’m such a coward! I can’t do anything right!” I sniffled, Natalie got up and sat next to me, rubbing my back.
    “Things will get better.”
    I sighed.
    “I hope so.”
