I sat down between the front row and the stage for Greyson’s part tonight. Jasmine and Justin wanted to see Greyson preform live, so they stayed too.

I was surprised to hear him talk first instead of singing.

“As you now know...tonight was Rachel’s last show. She’s going back to Maine to spend time with her brother...” He frowned. “Which means I wont be able to see her for awhile.. so Rachel.” He looked down at me. “This cover is for you.”

He moved to the piano and played a very familiar Journey song.

“They say that the road Aint no place to start a family

Right down the line Its been you and me

And lovin a music man, Aint always what its supposed to be

Oh girl you stand by me. Im forever yours

        ...faithfully”

By the end of it I was crying. Jasmine was “Aw!”ing and obviously ready to go get Justin a pen and some paper.

I stood up and clapped when he was through.

“GO GBEAR!” I cheered, laughing and crying at the same time.

Instead of rolling his eyes like he normally does, he just smiled back, laying down on the stage over the edge, so I could stand on my toes and kiss him. He stood back up and went on with the show.

“You guys are seriously the cutest things ever!” Jasmine squealed.

I smiled at her and looked back on stage. He did a few newer songs but the lights dimmed and a song that I wasn’t expecting began to play.

“Late at night I start to think about the things I did wrong.

Late at night I start to think about the things I could of done.

To save us from him..To save us from her.. to save us from the world.”

“He hasn’t done this song in forever!!”  One of the girls from behind me whispered to her friend.

The whole room was quiet, everyone was watching Greyson in amazement. This was probably his best performance..ever. It made even me cry. At one point he was on his knees, almost crying himself. What caused this, I don’t really know, although I could guess. When he was done, it was quiet for a second more before the whole place exploded with cheers and screams.

------------

“I don’t wanna go.” I cried, my arms wrapped tightly around Greyson.

“I don’t want you to go.” He sighed, hugging back.

“You do realize this is the first time we’ve actually really been separated in... I don’t even know. A long time.” I pulled away.

“I know.” He pulled me back into a hug, kissing my cheek.

By now I was seriously crying.

“Hey, don’t do that, you’re going to make me cry too.” He wiped my tears from my face.

“I’m sorry,” I laughed, but his eyes were already watering.

“I’ll see you in a few months I guess.” He sighed.

“I’ll be waiting.” I half smiled.

He crashed his lips to mine, not caring who was watching. Just knowing that this was the last moment I’d share with him for awhile.
