Chapter 85

    “So, here’s what we’re gonna do.” Greyson was sitting up, fully dressed in the hospital bed. He got to leave today. “I’m aware of how your brother says you can only do one more show, which I understand fully. It may work to our benefit too. I mean, you wouldn’t of been able to do many more anyway, and it will draw less attention to you, so maybe the rude hate will go down. We’re going to have to fake fight or something. Lauren, you act right?”

    “I sure do.”

    “Ok, Good. Rachel I don’t know how you feel about this but-”

    “As long as your fans are still there for you I’m all for it.”

    He smiled. “Ok. Well Lauren and I are going to have to pretend to be dating again. I would of suggested Alli, but she’s with Christian and I’d rather not get two relationships messed up.”

    Alli laughed quietly.

    I slowly nodded trying to make sense of it all. “So, we fight over something, I stop hanging around with you for a couple months, and in my place is.. Lauren?”

    “Exactly.”

    “Promise me nothing serious will go on with you two while this is happening, ok?” I looked at both of them.

    “I promise. I’ve got a lot more respect for you now than I did before.” Lauren smiled.

    “I promise too, and you know that.” Greyson kissed my cheek. I smiled.

    “I guess it all works out then..”

    “I say Rachel gets a full set tomorrow night at the show.” Cody smiled.

    “Sounds good to me, what do you think Rachel?” Greyson smiled too.

    “Sure,” I tried to act happy, although the thought of leaving left a lump in my throat.

    Greyson could tell. He frowned and pulled me in for a hug. “It wont be that long, we can skype every morning and every night, ok? I’ll call you every time I get a chance. It will be fine, trust me on this.”

    “I don’t want to leave you.”

    “I don’t want you to go either, but we got ourselves into this mess, and we have to get ourselves out now.”

    I nodded blinking back tears.

    “Greyson! Come on, we’ve got to go!” Lisa came into the room. Her, Scott, and Greyson’s brother and sister were in the bus already. Danny and Jamie were driving to Boston to see me tomorrow, so I didn’t have to do a full goodbye just yet.

    “Well, If tomorrow is your last show, I need to make a call.” Greyson stood up, and paused for a second holding a hand to his head

    “Whats wrong?!” I asked, worried.

    “Nothing, ha ha, just dizzy.” Before I could make another comment he went into the hallway taking out his phone.

    I turned to Cody, he just smiled and shrugged.

    “Huh.” I stood up, gathering his things, wondering what on earth he was doing.

    “Do you know what he’s up to?” I asked Cody.

    “No Idea.” He shrugged.

    “Natalie?”

    “Nope.” She smiled.

    They knew, and I could tell.

    James and Daniel stood up.

    “We’ve got to go pick up Sarah from practice..” Jamie said.

    “Oh, ok, Tell her I said Hi!” I hugged them both and sighed as they left. I saw Greyson through the window, he was standing in the hallway nodding, and smiling wildly. I tried to read his lips to know what he was saying, but it was hard.

    “He only smiles like that when it has something to do with making you happy.” Natalie stood, watching him through the window like I was.

    I laughed. What was he up to now?!
