Chapter 49

“Greyson. I’ve thought of something else.” Cody stood on the other side of the room.

    “And whats that?” Greyson asked. Not getting up.

    “Your mom doesn’t know.” Greyson’s face went pale. He slowly sat up, his eyes staring straight into mine. We looked at each other for a minute. Figuring out what to do.

    The funny thing is, when you’ve known someone for so long, when you’ve loved someone for so long, there isn’t a need to speak, because sometimes...you just know. The look on Greyson’s face, was fear. His mother knew about what me and Greyson had done in the past. 85% of his fans did too, if they were observant enough to notice his ring was no longer on his finger.

    “I can’t tell her now, not with Lauren wandering around.” He shook his head.

    “We could get Lauren out..” I said, while staring at Greyson’s wall.

    “And how to you suppose we do that?” Greyson asked.

    I thought about it. “You could have your bodyguard bring her to Tokyo, and leave her there to be eaten by fish.” I said calmly.

    Greyson was looking at me funny, “Um..did you sleep last night?” He raised an eyebrow.

    “Yes, why?”

    “Because that made no sense.”

    “Well, then you think of a better idea.”

    He sat for a minute. “We really can’t..”

    “We’ll have to tell your mom with her here then.” I took a deep breath.

    Five minutes later, Greyson and I were sitting in the home office, facing Lisa and Scott, with the door closed.

    “What did you want to tell us?” Scott asked.

    “Well...” I began, “Can I start by saying I’m sorry? I know how much of a fuss this is going to start, and it truly was an accident, you’ve got to trust me on that..but..” My voice trailed off, Greyson slid his hand into mine.

    Both Scott and Lisa were looking pretty confused.

    “Mom, Dad..” Grey spoke up, “Rachel’s pregnant with my baby. Its been two months. I might be a dad.”

    Lisa gasped, I couldn’t tell what Scott was thinking, his face was blank. I held my breath.

    “What do you mean, might be?” Scott asked.

    Greyson took in a breath and let it out slowly.

    “I might of lost her...or him in the crash..or the other ..incident.”

    With this, Lisa broke into silent sobs. I felt so bad, I didn’t know what to do.

    “I’m taking her to the hospital tomorrow to check.” Greyson looked at them, desperately waiting for someone to say something. But no one did. We sat there, for a long, awkward moment. I was horrified that Lisa wouldn’t talk to me anymore. She went a week without speaking to me or Greyson when she’d found Greyson and I fast asleep in his room, purity rings on the ground about 9 months ago.

    This..this was worse. She looked at us both. Got up, and left.

-Lauren ducked behind the door at the sight of Mrs. Chance, Lauren couldn’t help but smile. Well, looks like getting rid of Rachel would be a lot easier then she thought, with this new pice of information.-
