I packed my bags, filling them with clothes, I gently placed my bear into my backpack. I looked around my room grabbing a few other things, like my laptop and iPod. I waited, until 10:30, when the old witch went to sleep, before sneaking past her room with my bags. I opened the front door, as a burst of cold air hit me. I slipped outside and closed the door behind me, making my way down the street, across town, to Greyson’s house.

I folded my arms around myself, trying to stay warm. My backpack on my back, duffle bag in hand. I must of been walking for ten minutes before someone saw me.

“Rachel Price?” I stopped at the sound of my name, slowly turning my head. I saw a group of girls standing under a street light.

    “..Yes?” I looked at them.

“Where are you going?” The tallest one - probably 13 - asked me, her eye on my bag.

“No where.” I smiled at them.

“Can I hab your awtograff?” A small girl, possibly 5 came out from behind the taller one. She smiled at me, missing one of her front teeth, I laughed.

“Malory! That was rude!” A girl in pink whispered.

“No..its all right.” I reassured her. I got out a pen and a piece of paper signing it for them. I handed it over.

“Tell Greyson we say hi?...” The tall one bit her lip, as if wanting to take back what she said.

I smiled, “Of course, I have to go, bye..”

    “Bye!”

I kept walking, quickening my pace to make up for the time I just lost.

I was halfway there by now. I hated walking at night, my mind was playing tricks on me, thinking I keep seeing something move. When nothing is really there at all. I walked faster when This time, I did see something. A group of guys, right in front of me. Heading this way. I stopped, and bit my lip. I crossed the street, only making it halfway when I head one of them yell something.

“Hey! Where you going?” It wasn’t a serious question. The mans voice made me shiver. I ignored him and kept walking. “Yooo-hoooo, did you hear me?” I walked faster, breathing hard.

I thought I’d lost them, because 10 minutes later, I didn’t see them at all.

    But I was dead wrong.
