Zack
After a few hours of drinking and my stupidity of asking about her dead ex, we were both growing tired.
Desiree kept yawning and glancing towards the bedroom door.
"You ready for bed?" I asked her quietly
"A little I just want to lay down honestly. Maybe watch a little television." She shrugged stiffing a yawn.
"Okay. Let's do that then." I smiled standing up and offering her my hands.
I was glad when she took them and allowed me to help her to her feet.
When we reached her room she crawled right into bed, and then reached through her shirt doing the bra magic trick that every woman on the planet seemed to know how to do laying back.
"So what are we watching?" I asked her handing her the remote to the TV.
She didn't say a word but smiled and turned on I Love Lucy.
"Are you shitting me?" I laughed.
"Nope I love this show." She giggled getting comfortable.
I laughed and joined her in bed. I tried to get comfortable and I watched as she switched different positions over and over.
"Come here" I laughed aloud again. It seemed we had both got really used to laying in bed together.
"I didn't want to ask." Desiree smiled laying her head on my chest.
My hands went straight to her back rubbing them up and down her.
"Seriously though this show is probably older than both of our ages put together." I moaned
"Its a classic and it is absolutely awesome so shut up and watch it." She mumbled
"God Jimmy hated this show. He had this ex-girlfriend none of us met that loved this show. He would complain if he even heard the name Lucy. She would force him to watch it." I laughed.
"Oh" Is all Dezzy said. Nothing more.
"Yeah, I mean I personally have nothing against this show but it makes me think of him because of that. Some girl he dated for a few years before we hit it big." I laughed again.
Dez still didn't say anything. She just sat there staring blankly at the screen.
Then something, I don't know made me wonder, but there was no way.
"Dez, where are you from" I asked suddenly.
"Huntington too." She mumbled intently staring at the screen.
"But I don't remember seeing you in school" I commented
"I went to private school" Dez responded yawning
"Where did you live?" I asked her
"In an apartment. Above my Nana's store." She mumbled.
"Oh your grandmother owned a store?" I asked her thinking there was no way possible what I was beginning to wonder was true, I mean if it were, it would explain a lot of things."
"Yeah the corner store in Huntington." Desiree shrugged a bit.
"The one everyone stole beer from?" I asked
"Yeah that would be the one." She mumbled
"Why didn't you meet your ex's friends?" I asked her.
There was no way this could be true what I was thinking.
"I don't know. I just really didn't want to. I didn't really like what they all were up to." Desiree said looking at me.
