Chapter Fifty-One

My heart had never felt so full.

I mean all of the guys with Kat's guidance threw me a baby shower. Everyone was here, having a good time.

Even Barbra and Joe came. I was blessed.

"You doing okay?" Kat smiled looking at me as I ate some cake.

"Oh I'm fantastic" I grinned "This was really sweet of you guys. Thank you."

"Of course" Kat smiled hugging my shoulders "Food okay?"

"MmmHmmm" I moaned through my red velvet cake "This is amazing"

"I figured you would be happy with food" Kat laughed "I was always starving during the end of my pregnancy"

"Yeah, I'm up at three a.m every night eating a carton of ice cream" I laughed

"You're allowed to" She smiled patting my leg "You excited? Everything ready?"

"Yeah" I nodded "I finally got the nursery organized. How did you know I wanted the bassinet?"

"A birdie told me" Kat smiled winking in Zack's direction

"I love him" I smiled.

"I'm pretty sure he is crazy about you" Kat laughed

"Yeah" I nodded "Matt seems to be really in love with LuLu"

"He is." Kat smiled lovingly towards her husband, sitting and holding their baby feeding her a bottle "I couldn't ask for a better man to my by daughter's father."

"You love him" I laughed

"Yeah" She nodded then smiled brighter "Your sister is here."

"My sister?" I asked, I hadn't ever told Kat about my family. Actually as far as anyone knew I didn't talk to my family. Which wasn't far from the truth. After everything with Jimmy I just quit talking to them.

"Yeah" Kat smiled "I looked her up. I thought maybe she would like to be here."

"Rainey?" I asked.

"Lorraine yeah" Kat nodded

"She is here?" I asked shocked. "I haven't seen her in a few years."

"I know. I found her working at your Nana's store." Kat shrugged "I introduced myself and asked if they would like to come."

"And Rainey agreed?" I asked even though I could clearly see her walking towards us with a big basket in her arms.

"Yep" Kat smiled "Lorraine Hi"

"Hey" Rainey smiled, my younger sister. "Dez oh wow look at you"

"Rainey" I smiled not sure if I could say much more. My eyes were threatening tears.

"I'm so sorry I'm late. My guest was running a little late" Rainey smiled as Zack walked over.

"Who's this?" He asked kissing my cheek.

"Zack" I took a deep breath "This is my little sister Rainey or Lorraine"

"Rainey is fine" She smiled

"Your sister?" Zack questioned me

"I invited her" Kat muttered "Whether that was a good idea remains to be seen" She whispered to Zack.

"Oh well hi" He smiled "I'm Zack, Desiree's boyfriend."

"Nice to meet you" Rainey smiled extending her hand to his "I'm actually a fan of your band."
