Something wasn't right.

I could feel it in my body.

I came down into the lobby expecting to see Dezzy and boy did I see her.

She was hugging Jimmy's parents like old friends.

Did she know them? I doubt it maybe that's what Kat had to do, introduce them.

But something wasn't right.

The show is almost over and Dezzy never arrived to the venue.

Her equipment isn't here. Her clearance badge wasn't ran.

Kat didn't know where she was or why she didn't come.

Something felt off. Larry assured me that she was entitled to five personal days while out with us.

She called to take one but she sounded fine.

Larry had said she did sound tired and maybe a bit under the weather.

As the show ended I couldn't shake the feeling something was wrong.

We were all supposed to go have dinner with Joe and Barbra but I didn't feel up to it.

I had the desire to check on Dezzy.

She's so serious about her work it just wouldn't seem right for her to take a personal day unless something was wrong.

"Great show boys" Barbra smiled as we walked into the dressing room.

Instead of going straight for Brian as she usually did she came for me.

"Hey Zack" she grinned wrapping her arms around me. Her eyes twinkled and the way she looked at me I felt, like she was oddly, happier than usual to see me.

"Hey mama. How are you?" I say kissing her cheek.

"Oh I'm fantastic" Barbra beamed.

"Hey son." Joe grinned. I knew they were happy to see us but their smiles held knowledge of something I wasn't aware of.

I scanned the room. Maybe Dez was back here.

I caught Kat's eye and she slightly shook her head.

Barbra saw the slight motion and looked back at me grinning again.

I know my face betrayed my disappointment. I don't know why all of a sudden that it mattered to me that Dezzy wasn't here.

But it did. It really bothered me. Was she okay? Was something wrong?

"Guys I think I'm going to skip dinner. Would you be offended?" I asked Barbra.

Again, that odd smile, except this time it was a face splitting grin.

"Of course not." Barbra gushed. She actually gushed.

Kat looked at me and winked.

Maybe Kat told them I was attempting to be nicer to Dez. But I don't see why that would matter to the Sullivan's.

Of course they knew my split from the heinous bitch Rachel was messy.

Everyone kept wondering how private information was being leaked.

How fans weren't making it with their passes backstage.

Come to find out it was my evil obsessive girlfriend who was using me for money.

Maybe the Sullivan's met Dezzy and saw in her what I did.

Who knows but I have to get out of here and check on her.
