Zack

I laid awake all night.

I wondered if Matt and I made the right decision in leaving the girls at the cafe with those two idiots.

Should we have attempted to talk to them? After all we had been searching for them for over a week. Then low and behold when we stopped looking we wound up finding them.

That kind of made me want to laugh in a way.

Jimmy always told me I would find the girl of my dreams,my soul mate the no its I quit looking.

The irony of his little quote and finding Desiree as I did wasn't lost on me.

Actually it's what was keeping me up.

I mean maybe he was right. Just it sucks that the girl had to be his girl.

I swear Jimmy would kill me if he were alive.

But still what if she's the one, my one, and when I found her I walked away.

Not just once but now twice.

Should I have stayed in the parking lot waiting for them to come out and talked to her?

Followed her home?

Then I could be waking up and going to her house instead of sitting here getting dressed to go to the Sullivan's in an attempt at finding her.

I literally found her, and damn it, Jimmy's voice is ringing in my ears "when you find her don't lose her or you'll regret it."

He was so right.

"Yo dick face you ready yet?" Mates voice boomed down my hallway.

"Yeah" I called even though really I didn't know what I was actually ready for.

We drove in silence in the way over to the Sullivan's. Neither of us had much to say.

I wanted to ask him had he tried to contact Kat again, question him if I made the right move in texting Desiree and talking her I hope she is happy with whoever that punk ass was.

But I didn't. I didn't want to seen weak in his eyes or pussy whipped.

We pulled up and there was an unknown car parked in the driveway.

"I wonder who that is?" I asked as we walked up the drive.

"Maybe Kellie or Katie got a new car" Matt shrugged unimpressed.

He knocked on the door as we waited for one kg Jimmy's parents to answer.

The wait wasn't long when Joe opened the door looking beyond shocked wet were there.

"Oh guys" he grimaced looking at us.

"Yeah hey Joe" I smiled. It was weird it was like he wasn't happy to see us.

"Yeah hey" he grinned walking out and closing the door behind him. "I'd invite you in but ur Barb gas some company"

"Oh bad time?" Matt asked.

"Well you could say that" Joe nervously laughed looking in the front window as he motioned for us to take a seat on the patio furniture. "So what brings you boys over?"

"We were in the neighborhood." Matt laughed but Joe gave us both a look that told us he didn't believe a word Matt just uttered.

"Is that so?" Joe questioned.

"Not really" I muttered

"I didn't think so" Joe laughed.

Then it hit me.
