Chapter Twenty-three

Dezzy

"What was that?" Kat asked jumping from the sound of a banging door.

"No idea" I mumbled trying to catch my breath from being violently startled "maybe it's Drew and Tony"

Then we heard it: Matt's booming voice screaming the words to Seize The Day.

"Oh god" Kat laughed shaking her head jumping from the couch to the door.

"He sounds terrible" I giggled following her.

"He's drunk" she laughed even harder.

Then I heard a new voice.

"Who is that?" I giggled he sounded just as drunk.

"Oh my god it's Zack" she laughed as he yelled "it's empty and cold in the hallway open the door."

"Should we?" I asked hoping she agreed.

She nodded her head smiling then swung open the door "oh for Fuck's sake"

"It worked" Matt beamed down at Kat

"Fuck yes" Zack slurred smoking like an idiot. "Why hello ladies"

God help I couldn't help it I smiled.

"What do you want" Kat snapped but I could tell she was amused.

"To serenade you lovely ladies" Matt smiled

"Yep" Zack agreed then to my shock he grabbed my hand dropping to his knees "I'm hurting baby, I'm broken down. I need your loving loving I need when I'm without you I'm so damn weak you got me begging  begging on my knees"

"Oh god" I laughed

"Good choice man" Matt nodded his approval "I don't wanna be needing your love, I just wanna be deep in you love, it's killing when you're away, oh baby, cuz I really care where you, I just wanna be there where you are, I don't care what it will take"

"How do you idiots even know this song" Kat asked rolling here eyes

"Hush let us sing" Matt instructed placing a finger on her lips to silence her. Matt and Zack looked at each other linking arms and singing in unison "sugar yes please won't come and put it down on me, I'm right here, cuz I need a little love and sympathy"

"Oh dear god" I laugh I can't take it in their drunken stupor they're hilarious.

And adorable.

"Love and sympathy you say?" Kat questions the guys crossing her arms across her chest.

"We do we really do" Matt nods giving her the most pitiful puppy dog face I've ever seen.

"We really fucked up" Zack interjected nodding his head vigorously "I'm so damn sorry Dez I really am"

"Yeah I mean we didn't mean for you two to go date someone else" Matt solemnly responded looking at Kat.

"Oh good god" Kat sighed looking at me

"I'm so so sorry" Matt whispered and I swear the man looked like he was about to cry. Then suddenly he dropped to his knees wrapping his arms around Kat's hips and looking directly at her stomach "Don't leave, Don't leave me girl please stay with me tonight" He sang totally off key

"Don't forget to apologize to the baby Matthew" Zack hissed looking at him

"Right" Matt nodded "Oh baby of mine baby of mine I am so sorry you have a douche bag for a daddy" he sang in some weird key.

"Seriously?" Kat giggled

"Dez hey listen" Zack barked grabbing my hands "I really don't care you dated Jimmy"
