Megan's POV
The day has come.
Today is the day we help Grayson.
Today is the day I hand over my own brother.
"Are you ready?" I asked Ethan.
We were stood outside the house Grayson had brought me to.
"More like is Joseph ready" Ethan whispered in a sick tone.
"Ethan we have to do this. You don't know how fucking hard this is for me right now. I'm handing over my own fucking brother for yours." I spat as I stood on my tiptoes, trying to reach his height.
"Don't act like Grayson doesn't mean something to you, Megan" Ethan spat back.
"I never said that, Ethan" I whispered as I looked away from him.
"Yeah, but you thought it" He said silkily as he walked away.
Ethan got my blood boiling. I just wanted to punch him if the fucking face. How dare he put this all on me, maybe he should have fucking protected himself that day, then Grayson would be fine.
"Get your ass back here, Dolan" I warned. Ethan stopped in his tracks and walked back over to me.
"You need to keep you're fucking mouth shut. I learnt that the hard way, I don't want you to" I said as I gripped him by his collar and pulled his face close to mine.
I saw him gulp, so I released my grip and pushed him away from me.
I then walked over to Joseph and just hugged him tightly.
"Meg, what's going on?" He asked.
"Joseph, you are going to stay with Shawn for a bit okay? I will come and get you as soon as I can, I promise" I said as I looked him in the eyes.
"B-But I want to stay with you" He said as he wrapped his arms around my neck and pulled me in close.
"I-I know, Joe. I know you want to stay with me, and I want to stay with you, but we have to help Grayson. If you don't go with Shawn for a little while, Grayson might get hurt. He might go to heaven, like dad did. We don't want that, do we?" I said as I held him tighter.
I bit down on my lip, trying to hide my emotions. I have to stay strong. I have to stay strong for Joseph.
"Well, only until Grayson's safe. Then can you come get me?" He asked sad.
"Of course. I will be with you as soon as I can. I promise. I love you so much Joseph" I said as he hugged me even tighter.
Ethan walked up behind me and put his hand on my shoulder.
"It's time, Megan" He said sadly.
"No. No!"
I couldn't do it.
I couldn't just hand him over.
I don't know what they want with him.
I don't know what they will do to him.
Ethan had to practically rip me apart from Joseph. I sobbed as 3 gang members started pulling me away from Joseph. They were dragging me away to hide behind the bushes.
"No! No!" I kept repeating, though it sounded all muffled as one of the gang members had covered their hand over my mouth, so that Joseph wouldn't hear my cries.
I sobbed, being dragged into the darkness, watching Ethan walk away with Joseph.
