Megan's POV
"My father was a business man. He worked away a lot and I rarely ever saw him. My mother was, and still is, a drug addict. She was the one who got me hooked too, I'm not that bad now though. A cigarette here and there doesn't hurt. She just stands and watches everything, she doesn't do anything to help me.

One night, my father left for a business trip. He never really told me what he did on these business trips, I had to find out the hard way.

Turns out he was part of this gang. The leader. He was the best of the best and that's why everyone wants me, the daughter of the greatest gang leader, that's what i'm labelled as.

My father was killed that night he left, I still don't know how, I don't want to know how. I don't want to be a part of this, any of it, but that's not my decision anymore."

I took a deep breath and Grayson took my hand in his as I continued with the story.

"That night, He found me." I said as a tear dropped. I let it fall and didn't bother to wipe it away. The horrible memories came flooding back.

"I can't do this." I said as I stood up.
I put my hands over my face as I started pacing in circles.

"Grayson, I can't do it. You don't know how hard I've tried these past years to forget it. To forget the things He did to me." I said as I stared at Grayson.

"You don't have to tell me all at once, Megan. I get that it's hard for you to tell me these things." He said in a soft voice.

"Grayson, I've never opened up to anyone as much as I have to you. I don't trust you. I can't trust you." I said as I walked closer to him.

"You're just tearing into my walls and they're slowly crashing down. I can't let you do that, Grayson. I've been building them higher and higher since the moment I met Him." I sat down on the bed.

"He has told me to not show pain, to not feel it. To lock it up inside me. Through every time he t-touched me, I had to let him." I said with no emotion.

"That night he found me, I did some pretty bad things for him. I did them without question as he had a gun pointed to my head. My father was the one who made sure I could fight. I had a personal trainer that had taught me everything I know." I moved closer to Grayson and cupped his face in my hands.

"I've killed before, Grayson." I said shakily. "I-I'm a monster." Grayson didn't say a word, he just continued to listen.

"They had my brother. I could hear his screams and cries. I couldn't stop myself. I killed them. I killed all three of them. David was there to help me." As soon as I mentioned David's name Grayson tensed up.

"David helped me escape. He helped me and my brother escape from Him.
For a about a month, I was free. I was free from pain, physical pain. Nothing could stop the emotional suffering that was happening inside my head." A tear slipped and Grayson wiped it away with the pad of his thumb as he cupped my face.

"He found me again. David was the only one who knew where we went. David was the reason why He found me again. The worst part is that I was the reason for David's death.
He killed him because of me, Grayson. I'm so sorry." I said as I closed my eyes.

I was expecting for Grayson to be mad, to be angry with me for Davids death, but he wasn't. He pulled me closer to him and kissed my forehead.

"I have been doing jobs for Him. It's the only reason me and my brother are still alive, It's the only reason why He hasn't killed me yet.
I knew that He was coming back yesterday, that's why I left as soon as I woke up and didn't have anything to eat. That's why I couldn't go home. These jobs have been getting worse and worse, Grayson. Last time, I almost died. I was in a club, I was dressed as one of the dancers. The bar tender saved me, he gave up his life for me."
I looked at Grayson. My face was now showing no emotion.

"The jobs are usually just to kill someone. Sometimes it's one person, sometimes it's more. Nobody ever knows what's coming to them, I lure them in, make them think I care... then I kill them. Grayson, I'm a monster." I said staring into his eyes. My voice stayed all at one tone.

"Megan. Sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do." Was all he said.

"Can I tell you the rest tomorrow? I don't feel like it right now." I said bluntly.

"Of course." He said as he placed a kiss on my cheek. I just laid back onto the bed and instantly fell asleep.

After a while I felt an arm wrap around my body to bring me closer to them.

"Grayson, what the fuck are you doing?" I asked.
"I was cold." He mumbled into my hair.

I turned around in his grip and faced him. He moved his head and laid it on my stomach as his arms wrapped tighter around my waist.

I played with his hair as we both fell asleep.
