Grayson's POV

I walked through the doors of the apartment complex, taking the stairs to the top floor. The whole place spelt like alcohol, it made me sick. I just shook of my need to puke and started looking over the numbers on the doors.

I finally found number 56, this is where he should be. I knocked on the door, and patiently waited for it to open, as I removed the knife from my pants, gripping it in my right hand.

The second the door opened, I pushed my way into the apartment as I held a knife under the mans throat. I had kicked the door shut with my leg as I dropped the man to his knees.

"I believe you owe someone some money?" I said in a questionable tone. He just nodded, fear practically pouring out of him.

"You gonna pay up?" I asked as I connected the knife with his skin.
"I-I don't have that much right now, man" He said, instantly regretting it.

"Well, it's either I leave here with every penny... or you pay for your actions." I said in a sick tone.

"W-what do you mean?" He asked worried.
"Pay up, or breath your last breath... right here, right now" I said as I crouched down to his level and pressed the knife down on his skin.

"I don't have it all" He said as he let out a shaky breath. I put more pressure on the knife, creating a droplet of blood to fall from his throat.

"P-please, give me a couple hours" He pleaded. I thought about it for a minute, if I kill him now, Jax may never get his money.

I leant over to the side table, grabbing a phone.
"You got 20 minutes" I said as I placed the phone in his hand.

I still had the knife under his throat and made him stay in a sitting position as his shaky hands dialled a number.

"Don't even think about trying anything" I warned.
"Say anything wrong, and you die" I added.

"Thank you" was all he said as he lifted the phone to his ear.
I just rolled my eyes.
This guy was pathetic, he didn't even try to fight back.

...

"No! I need it now!" He yelled through the phone, throwing me from my thoughts.

I looked at a clock.
"12 minutes left" I said as I looked at him, he just gulped as a droplet of sweat fell from his forehead.

"No! I don't care what you have to say! Get me the money, now!" He demanded.

"No! I don't have the time! I need it now!" He yelled again, the fear showing in his voice.

He was on the phone for another 5 minutes until he finally hung up, letting out a sigh of relief.

"It will be here, they are on their way" he said.
"Well, they better be quick, you got 6 minutes" I said as an evil smirk traced over my lips.
His fear was back again.

...

3 minutes had passed.
The guy was still sat there, shaking, when there was a knock at the door. His eyes lit up immediately as the look of relief fled through his whole body.

I pulled him to his feet as I lifted him of the floor slightly.
"Do anything? You'll be dead in a matter of seconds, got it?" I said as I slowly set him down on his feet.

I walked into a room that was next to us as he opened the door. He was handed a bag, he thanked who ever brought it and then closed the door.

I walked back into the hallway as I ripped the bag from his hands. He was about to open the door for me to leave, when I put my foot against it.

"Not so fast, I'm not leaving here until I know every penny is here." His relief was instantly turned back to fear. Looks like someone was trying to cheat Jax again.

I pushed him to the floor again as I tied his hands behind his back. I pulled out my phone and texted Jax, asking how much he was owed.
My mouth dropped open when I looked at the figure on my screen.

50,000

I opened the bag and started counting. I got to about 44,000 when the money had ran out. I looked down at the terrified man before me.

"You know, you should never cheat someone. You wanna know why?" I said as I walked around him, standing behind him.

"W-Why?" He asked, immediately regretting it. I held the knife in my hand as I brought it to his throat.

"Because karma's a bitch" I said silkily as I slit his throat.
He fell to the floor as the blood poured out of him. I had killed him.

I walked around the apartment, looking through the draws, finding another 17,000. That fucker was lying when he said he had no money.

I then moved his body into the room next to us, as I left the apartment. I made my way out of the complex, making sure my face was still covered. I had the bag of money that held the 44,000 someone had brought, along with the 17,000 I had just found, as I walked to the alleyway where I would meet Jax.

I had a sly smirk on my face as I walked around the corner, to be greeted with an excited looking Jax.

"So, I got him to pay up 44,000, but that wasn't the deal, so I killed him. I then went looking and found another 17,000." I said as my smirk grew. I took the bag of my back and handed it to Jax.

Jax had the same sly smirk on his face as I did. He reached into the bag, pulling out the extra 11,000.

"Here ya go" He said as he handed it to me. I was shocked.
"Wait, really?" I asked in disbelief.
"You deserve it, man" he said as he reached into his pocket, pulling out a little packet, containing a pill.
I just smiled as I put the money in my jacket and took the pill.

The same fuzziness took over my body as I was instantly relaxed.
"See ya" I said as I started walking out of the alleyway.
"I'll text you tomorrow, I have another job for you" Jax said.
I just nodded as I made my way out of the alleyway.

By now it was about 2am.
I found myself sat at the same bench in the same park that I was in last time.

I was calm.

I was silent.

I was laconic.
