"Fabrizio!" I almost squeezed the life out of him when he walked through the door.

"Woah!" he slowly patted my back, heartily laughing. "What's gotten you so excited?"

"You're here!" I exclaimed, smiling from ear to ear. "...and I might be a little tipsy." I cautiously switched my voice to a whisper.

Fab rolled his eyes and sighed. "Jade..."

"I'm fine!" I said, gripping his hand. "Come." I sat him down on the sofa and I showed him my new guitar. We talked for a few hours about our boring lives and got really high, as per usual.

"So, where's Albert and Julian?" asked Fab, his eyes half-open and bloodshot.

I ran my fingers through his hair, looking down at him. "In Albert's room."

"Doing what?"

"Probably makin' out or something." I giggled.

Fab weakly lifted his head off of my lap and mumbled something, then falling back down onto it.

I watched him with a raised eyebrow.

"I should probably go." he croaked, rubbing his eyes profusely.

I glanced up at the clock with a roll of my eyes. "Fabrizio, it's like, two in the morning. You're obviously staying over."

Fab nodded with a yawn as his eyes closed. I laughed to myself, leaning back with a content sigh.

Just as I was about to fall asleep, Fab groaned a little and lifted himself off my lap. I rubbed my eyes and looked around.

"I'm hungry." Fab nodded to himself as he walked over to the kitchen. "Can I grab something to eat?"

"Yeah, man." I watched him search the cupboards and the fridge for a good ten minutes, even checking the same ones twice. He then walked back over to me and smirked.

"Oh, no." I groaned, throwing my head back. "When you have that look on your face, nothing good happens."

Fab chuckled, nodding his head once again. "Let's go see what's open and grab a bite to eat?"

"Duuuuude!" I looked up at the clock displeasingly. "No way!" It was just nearing 3 o'clock.

He crouched down, squinting his eyes and whispered, earning a laugh from me. "The city never sleeps." He extended his arm, waiting for me to grab his hand.

"Fab, no!" I sighed and closed my eyes. "I'm too high and I wanna sleep."

He started grabbing at my arms, trying to drag me off the sofa. I dug my nails into a cushion as he grabbed my legs and started prying me away. I giggled, kicking my legs as I fell to the floor.

"Fine!" I yelped in defeat. "Let's check out that diner that's half a block away." I slowly stood up and leaned against Fab, who was looking rather pleased with himself.

"Oh, no you don't." Albert's silhouette came into view, just as we were about to open the front door. "This might sound hypocritical coming from me, but I don't want two stoners wandering the streets at three in the morning. Especially not you two!" he snapped, stepping into the light. I could tell we'd woken him up. He looked like he was about to fall back asleep at any moment.

"C'mon, man!" Fab whined. "I've got the munchies real bad!"

"That's your fucking problem." Albert shook his head with a yawn. "Get into bed, right now."

Fab hung his head in shame and stumbled into my room, collapsing onto the bed.

"And as for you," he said sternly, gripping me by the arm. "...I wouldn't have expected this from you right now."
