I woke up to the sound of commotion in the kitchen. Pots and pans were clashing together, cabinets were opening and closing, and people were singing.
"What the fuuuuuuck?!" I groaned, blinking rapidly as my eyes adjusted to the light. I couldn't really remember anything...but I sure did remember Julian and I hooking up.
I looked over at Julian, who was fast asleep, and then I looked down at myself. I was completely naked, so I gasped and quickly threw on a T-Shirt and some of Julian's boxer shorts. Then, I ran into the bathroom at light speed after realising it was 10 o'clock and we had to be out by 11.
"Morning." Nick greeted me through a mouthful of toothpaste after I peeled off my shirt, not having noticed his presence.
"Get out!" I screeched, ignoring my banging headache.
He pulled the toothbrush out of his mouth and backed away slowly with a smirk.
"Is that my fucking toothbrush?" I asked him, instantly knowing the answer as he giggled and ran away.
I tore off the rest of my clothes and jumped into a scalding hot shower, washing my body and hair as quickly as I could. When I was done, I wrapped a towel around myself and jogged back into my room to get dressed and pack some stuff as Julian slept. I packed some stuff for him too, because I knew he'd take a long time and be lazy about it.
I stuck my head out the doorway as I heard commotion still going on, most likely from Nick, Fab and Albert. "Can you guys make some use of yourselves and bring the party in here to wake this idiot up?!" I called out.
Seconds later, Fab, Albert, Nick and Nikolai, who looked like he'd only just woken up, had marched into the room. Fab had our radio perched on his shoulder like a boombox and they all sang along and danced to whatever upbeat song was playing. That woke Julian up quite quickly.
"Everyone get dressed and make sure you have everything!" I jumped on the bed and shouted. "Ryan scored a van and he'll be here in like, fifteen minutes to pick us up!"
"So are you gonna tell me what's going on now?" asked Albert, his arms crossed.
"We're going camping. Go pack a bag." I said. He looked at me in disbelief for a second until I ushered him out the door. "Quickly! Go, go, go!"
I then ran over to the closet, pulled out a T-Shirt, jeans and Julian's usual jacket, and I threw them at him quite forcefully.
He pulled the jacket off his head with a pout. "What was that for?"
"We have to be out in ten minutes and your dumbass is still in bed!" I said, frowning. "You better be dressed by the time I come back in here."
"But I haven't packed anyt-"
"I took care of that. Just hurry up, okay?" I said quite frustratedly. I didn't have the time to fawn over his hot messy hair, husky morning voice and shirtless torso.
"Yes, ma'am!" he saluted me.
I marched out of the room to check up on everyone else. They were all piled onto the couch with backpacks and other stuff on the floor in front of them. I was surprised they remembered to bring things after the wild night we had.
"All packed?" I asked and they all nodded. "Good boys."
"The phone rang and Ryan said he's out front with Adam." Nikolai informed me with a yawn. "Kimya went with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs."
"Then what the hell are you waiting for! Move out, troops!" I demanded. They all complied, picking up their stuff and marched out the door.
I jogged back into my room and slung my overly-full backpack over my shoulder. I then grabbed Julian's bag and his arm and yanked him out of our room and out of the building entirely.
"Why are we running?! I'm sure they're not gonna fuck off without us!" Julian exclaimed, breathlessly.
"Why take the risk?!" I called back, now hurdling in front of him.
The van came into view with Ryan at the wheel and Nikolai in the passengers seat. There was music blaring and a couple of the guys were waving out the window like crazy people. Adam cheered as Julian and I leapt over to the vehicle and jumped inside. The 8 seater van was now packed to capacity with bodies, boxes and bags. After greeting us, Ryan turned down the music so we could converse.
"Aren't the Yeah Yeah Yeah's coming?" Julian asked.
"They'll be meeting us there." replied Ryan as he started up the van.
"So where exactly are we going?" Albert asked, reaching over to lean on the middle seat where Julian, Adam and I were sat.
"Some forest near a lake." I said. "Typical camping spot. I wanted to try the beach to make it a little more fun, but it's a bit too cold for that."
"It's super secluded," Ryan began to explain. "...so there'll be no one around for miles and we can make as much noise as we want, pretty much."
As the serial noise makers of the group, Nick and Fab high-fived with goofy grins.
Adam turned around and placed a hand on Albert's shoulder with a wide grin and droopy eyes. He was clearly very stoned. "I brought fireworks and drugs."
Albert chuckled, shaking his head. "Of course you did, pal...of course you did."
