"Hey, Jade?"
"Jade!"
I opened my eyes to see Fab and Albert standing over me. "What?" I snapped, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
"Ryan called and he wants to meet up with us to talk or whatever." explained Albert as he lit up a cigarette. "Wanna come?"
"Nah, man. This is all you guys." I said with a yawn. "What are you gonna do about Jules? He'll most likely be hungover as fuck."
"Still got that coke you keep in your kitchen?" asked Fab with a grin.
"Albert threw it out." I sighed.
"I didn't have a choice." Albert protested.
"Whatever." I took his cigarette off him, took a drag and then handed it to Fab. "Good luck with Jules."
"Oh...we were kinda hoping you'd get him up." said Fab as he took a puff and handed it back to Albert.
"No way." I lay my head back down and closed my eyes.
Fab pursed his lips together as he stared down at me. It looked like he was about to tell me something I wouldn't like to hear.
Albert leaned into him to whisper. "Are you gonna tell her? Or should I?"
I sat up and looked at them both with a frown. "Tell me what?!"
Fab scratched his neck as he stuttered. "Julian...well he kinda...he--"
Albert took a deep breath in. "What Fabrizio's trying to say, is he--"
"There's puke all over your bed!" Fab yelped.
I sat there for a minute with a smile. Not a happy smile, but a smile a psychopath would smile after murdering their victim in cold blood. I clenched my jaw so hard it felt like my teeth were about to crack as I slowly stood up and walked to my room. Fab and Albert followed closely behind.
"Julian Casablancas!" I screeched, practically kicking the door open.
Julian immediately woke up and clutched his head in his hands. He sat up, his eyes darting around the room.
"Get up, strip the bed and fuck off to the laundromat!" I yelled, pointing a finger at him. Albert and Fab could be heard snickering behind me like children.
Julian still remained silent as he looked around, noticing his vomit and he cringed. He took off his shirt and looked up at me with a frown. "I'm...sorry."
"Right." I said in a sarcastic tone as I aggressively pushed past Fab and Albert to walk back into the living room. I wouldn't be as angry as I was if Julian didn't fuck with me the previous night. I guess I was just feeling quite sensitive.
Fab walked in and joined me in the kitchen. He hugged me from behind and planted a kiss atop of my head. "You okay?"
"I'm so stressed out, man." I said, placing my hands over his. "What the fuck do we do about Jules? I feel like he's slowly losing control again...and I am too."
"It was just one slip up." he pulled away and took a sip from the tea I'd made. "You guys will be okay."
"Two slip ups." I mumbled.
"Okay, two...so what?"
"You're always so chill about everything. I don't get how. Is that just you as a person or are you just fucking stoned all the time?" I asked.
Fab pulled out a joint from his jacket pocket and waved it in front of my face with a smirk. "We may never know!" He kissed me on the cheek and walked into the living room to sit on the couch.
"When do you have to see Ryan?"
Fab sparked up his joint and looked over at me. "Couple hours. We wanted to go 'round to our place first, though."
"Oh, yeah?" I nodded. "I think he's gonna sign you."
"You should come!"
"Nah, this is your thing. I might go see if Adam's okay." I said as I joined him on the couch.
"Aw, pleeeeeaase Jade!" Fab pleaded. "If we get signed, we want you to be there!"
I said nothing as I sipped my tea.
"If you're not coming just to avoid Julian then you suck."
A part of me didn't want to go just because of Julian, so I guess Fab was kinda right, but I didn't want him knowing that, because it'd only spark up another dumb argument.
I bit my lip and sighed. "Fine."
"You'll come?"
"Yes."
Fab enveloped me in a hug, making me spill my tea everywhere. I tried to wriggle free, but he stuffed his joint in my mouth and giggled. Once I held it with my fingers, Fab pulled away looking pleased with himself as I took a drag.
"Clean that up." I pointed to the spilt tea on the floorboards.
Fab gave me a two finger salute. "On it."
"Thank you, my sweet Fabrizio." I blew him a kiss as I stood up and stretched. "I'm gonna go get changed. Albert better have Julian up and out of my room or I'm gonna break something."
I walked into my now empty room as I contently puffed on my joint. I was happy to see my bed was rid of its sheets. At least Julian did something right. I wasn't really expecting him to follow through on my orders.
I heard the front door slam as I slipped on a T-Shirt and jeans.
Albert poked his head in with a delighted grin. "So, you're coming now?"
I passed him my almost finished joint with a dopey smile. "You betcha."
"That's really great!" Albert beamed.
I fell onto my bed as I rubbed my eyes vigorously. "I'm so fucking high right now, dude." I closed my eyes and spread my arms out with a content sigh. "I think I might wanna go back to sleep."
"Fucking Fabrizio." he muttered under his breath, then walking over to grab my arm. "Let's go." I did nothing but giggle as he pulled me off my bed and out into the living room. I slid easily across the floorboards as I stared upwards and laughed.
"This new shit," said Fab, holding up a bag of weed. "...it's so fucking strong. Wanna try some, Albie? The dude I got it off said it's a new strain and says he's losing business because it's so strong people are too baked to come back for more!" He finished, starting to laugh.
"So you warn me, but not poor old Jade here?" Albert said with a raised eyebrow as he helped me onto the couch.
"She's enjoying it, aren't 'ya Jade?!"
I help up a peace sign with a simple nod of my head as I slouched down into the couch cushions. I felt like I could sink down into them forever.
The front door opened and in walked Julian. He looked like shit, but not as bad as before. I figured he had some time to sort himself out.
"I, uhh...your stuffs getting washed, Jade." Julian said with an awkward smile.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you, Julian." I said in almost a whisper. "You know I love you."
"Fab..." Julian narrowed his eyes on Fabrizio. "Please tell me you didn't let her try the new stuff."
Fab shrugged with a stupid grin. "Guilty!"
