Rediscovered Passion

The guys ended up calling Gordon into the studio and started recording a song. They got a whole lot done and were so happy with their progress that they didn't want to leave anytime soon.

It was nearing 2 in the morning when I found myself sitting on the floor, tucked away in a corner as I drifted in and out of sleep. I could've gone home anytime, but I enjoyed seeing Julian so genuinely happy, so much so, that I chose to stay. His smile just brightened the room and I could really tell in that one moment, that making music was the one thing that truly made him strive.

"Jade?" A voice snapped me awake and I blinked rapidly as I looked up. Julian looked down at me with his tired eyes and a soft smile.

I rubbed my eyes and yawned. "Hi."

"We're gonna go now, okay? I'm sorry we stayed back so late." he said, his voice laced with concern.

"Don't apologise." I managed to say, before beginning to drift off again.

"Hey, woah!" He said with a chuckle as he kneeled down in front of me and placed a hand on my shoulder. "We're going home, Jade. You can make it."

"Naaaah." I lazily swatted his hand away. "I'll just stay here."

"Do I need to call the others over here to get you up?"

My eyes shot open once again and I scrambled to my feet, knowing exactly what would happen if Julian did call them. I'd most likely get picked up and unwillingly swung over someones shoulder. "I'm up! "I'm up!"

With the smile not leaving his face, he offered me his arm and I linked it with mine as I leaned into him with my face pressed into his shoulder.

We followed the group outside and began the walk back to the apartment, after departing with Adam. We had offered for him to stay the night, but he said he had things to do. Things to do at nearly 3 in the morning? Sounds like Adam.

I was practically half asleep as I dragged my feet along the sidewalk. Julian was pretty much hoisting me up at that point and we were so far behind the group because of it.

"I'm sorry." I whined into his shoulder.

Julian stopped walking and let go of me to crouch down. I was too tired to even question what he was doing so I just stood there, staring.

"What are you waiting for? Get on!" he ordered with a smirk.

I shrugged and jumped on his back, wrapping my arms around his neck quite tightly, but not too tight. "Thank you." I mumbled and closed my eyes once again. "When did you get so strong?"

"What are you talking about? I always have been!" he laughed.

"No, you haven't."

"You're mean when you're tired."

"Bite me." I whispered into his ear.

"That was hot." he whispered back. "I might just have to take that literally."

I muffled a shriek and buried my face into his back as my cheeks heated up. I felt like a schoolgirl with a crush all over again as Julian laughed at my reaction.

"What's taking you guys so long?!" We heard Nick yell from halfway up the street.

"Just go! We'll catch up!" Julian called back.

I was wide awake now at this point and I jumped down from Julian's back.

He turned to face me, a flickering streetlamp just barely illuminating his face with pale yellow highlights. "Not tired anymore?"

"Apparently not."

"Good, because I'm not either."

"Why did we stop?"

Julian shoved his hands in his pockets as he shrugged, his stare burning holes in me.

"You're acting a little weird, Jules."

He raised a brow. "Am I?"

"Yeah!" I shoved him with a laugh. "Quit it, man!"

"I kinda really wanna kiss you right now and I don't know what to do." he said, making me freeze up. He waited patiently for my response, his stare making my cheeks heat up more and more by the second.

I bit down on my bottom lip, deciding not to overthink things for once. "Well...what the heck are you waiting for then?!"

A grin replaced his longing stare and he pulled his hands out of his pockets. Then, pushing my back to a wall, he took a second to stare into my eyes once more, before licking his lips and going in for the kill. His arms snaked around my waist as he pulled me closer to him, deepening the kiss. I was suddenly so hungry for him and hated myself for holding off on it for so long, because it simply felt amazing. My hands tangled in his hair as our tongues brushed against eachother, our lips moving in sync.

When we finally pulled apart for a breath, we realised we should probably get home.

"Well, that was...interesting." I said as I wiped my mouth with my sleeve and intertwined my fingers with Julian's. We began to walk again and did so in silence for a minute.

"I love you, Jade." Julian broke the silence. "You know that, right?"

"I...I guess so..?" I answered quite shakily, as I was still starstruck from our kiss. I squeezed his hand tighter and sighed. "I love you too, Jules. I wish things were more simple between us."

Julian just sighed and said nothing as we walked the rest of the way home.

"What took you guys so long?" asked Albert as we walked through the front door. He looked extremely tired and seemed to have been waiting up for us.

"Where is everyone?" I dodged his question with a question.

"In bed."

"And why aren't you?"

"Figured I should stay up to see if you two were alive." he answered bluntly.

"Albert, I love you so much and while appreciate the concern, you're an idiot and if you don't go the fuck to sleep in the next thirty seconds, I'm going to have to knock you out." I said quite threateningly with a raised fist.

Julian let out a soft chuckle and disappeared into one of the bedrooms while I walked over to Albert with crossed arms and a frown. He looked like he could fall asleep any second. "Go!" I hissed, my face softening seconds after when he began to yawn. "You poor thing."

He got up and I kissed him on the cheek, watching with a smile as he walked away.

The tiredness hit me again quite quickly after that and I found myself walking into my bedroom. Once I caught sight of Fab and Julian fast asleep in my bed, I sighed. I was slightly pissed off at the fact that Julian didn't even bother saying goodnight to me, especially after we suddenly and strangely rediscovered our passion for eachother only moments earlier...and the fact that I wouldn't have much bed room due to Fab being there, but I chose not to let it bother me and I just climbed into bed without even changing and fell right to sleep.
