Lazy

With the return of work, came the return of things being less hectic and slow-paced. Julian started his bartender job and we didn't see very much of him. After a long shift, he'd just go straight to bed and then when he woke up, he'd pretty much be off to work again. He said it was easy and that it didn't bother him, but I could see the tiredness in his eyes.

On days off, The Strokes would be playing gigs all around. They'd slowly but surely worked up a name for themselves and had offers flying in from other labels, but they politely declined each one. I was glad they wanted to stay loyal to Ryan, because they wouldn't really be where they are now if it weren't for him.

There had also been talk of finally recording their first album, but a hefty fee would come with that, of course. Julian had been working so hard because of it. He just wanted it all so bad.

"Guess who has a paid day off tomorrow." said Julian as he walked through the front door.

I couldn't help but to squeal with excitement for him. "Julian, that's so awesome!"

He didn't look too excited, though -- he looked like he hadn't slept in days and didn't care about anything.

"Come here." I moved over on the couch to make room for him.

After kicking off his shoes and lazily throwing his jacket on the floor, Julian collapsed beside me and sighed.

"You've been working too much, Jules." I said, pulling him onto my lap. "You can take a break, y'know?"

"I don't want to." he replied, closing his eyes as I gently ran my fingers through his hair.

I rolled my eyes. "It's not like all the expense is on you. Everyone else is gonna pay their cut."

Julian grunted in response, the way he usually did when he was slightly irritated with someone's statement.

"We're gonna do something fun tomorrow, okay?" I said, looking down at him with a sigh.

"Can't," he mumbled into my thighs. "...band rehearsal. Gig in two days."

"After band rehearsal." I said. I could tell he was falling asleep at that point, so I lifted him off me. "C'mon, let's go to bed."

He groaned as I stood up, pulling him up with me. I walked into my room and he trudged in behind me, then yawning as he fell onto the bed.

"You're so cute when you're sleepy." I found myself sheepishly admitting as I cuddled up next to him.

A smile crept up on his lips, but he kept his eyes closed and said nothing.

"Are you really sleeping with those on?" I laughed, looking down at his black pants that he was required to wear as uniform.

"Mhm..."

I propped myself up onto my knees, putting my hands on my hips with a smirk. "You're so lazy!" I jumped on top of him, practically straddling him as I tried to pull his pants off.

Julian's eyes sprung open and he gasped. "What are you doing?"

"You're clearly too tired to take off your pants, so I'm doing it for you. Isn't that obvious?" I said, tugging on them once more with a mischievous smirk.

"Whatever." He closed his eyes again.

I raised a brow. "You're not even gonna help?"

With a subtle shake of his head, he squeezed his eyes shut tighter as I continued to tug at his pants. I stopped for a second to scrutinise his reactions. Every time I touched him, he'd bite his lip or scrunch his nose up. Oh...I know what's going on.

With a wicked smirk, I tightened my legs around him and placed my hands on his hips.

"J-Jade, I think I can do it m-myself." he choked, his eyes shooting open.

"What's the matter, Jules?" I asked with a childish pout. "Thought you were too tired."

He watched me warily as I placed my hand on his crotch. I dramatically gasped when I felt what I knew I'd feel and Julian looked away, his cheeks turning bright pink. He tried to push me off so he could hide himself, but I tightened my grip around him and pulled his pants down to his knees.

"Jaaaaade!" Julian groaned, an uneasy look on his face.

"The gigs up, Julian." I giggled, positioning myself further down. "You've been working so hard recently. I think you need to...unwind a little, hm?"

"Y-You don't have to-"

"I want to."

Just as I was about to...do the deed...the door flung open. "Hey guys, I-" Albert froze and choked at the sight of me straddling Julian with my hands tugging on the sides of his underwear. "Oh...sorry!" He quickly backed away out of the room.

I crawled off of Julian and hurdled to the door. "Albert, stop!" A frustrated sigh from Julian made me laugh on my way out.

"I saw nothing! I saw nothing!" Albert chanted as he paced back and forth in the kitchen.

I crossed my arms, staring at him with a raised brow. "What ever happen to knocking?"

"What ever happened to locking your door?!"

"Touché." I laughed. "But still..."

"I'm just gonna completely forget the past minute of my life even happened."

"That's probably a good idea."

"You're not even gonna deny it?"

"Nope." I replied, popping the 'p'. "We're mature adults, are we not? Yes, I was about to suck Julian's d-"

"Woah! Stop right there!"

I rolled my eyes. "Grow up, dude."

"You're telling me to grow up?" Albert scoffed. "It took you so long to admit you want him."

"Shut uuuuup." I groaned, hating to admit he was right. "Why are you up anyways?"

Albert shrugged, looking down at his feet with a disheartened sigh.

"Woah, what's wrong?" I asked, my eyebrows knitting together in concern. I was ready to wrap him in a hug, but then he spoke.

"I've got the munchies." he sighed.

"Jesus, man! I thought you were gonna tell me someone died or something!"
