"I was talking to a couple dudes that own bars," Ryan said. "...they want The Strokes to play at their venues sometime."

"Holy fuck, more gigs!" I screeched excitedly, squeezing my arm tighter around Julian's waist. "Did 'ya hear that, Jules?!"

"I'd be completely deaf if I didn't," Julian chuckled, holding a hand over his ear that I'd just shouted in. He then turned to Ryan and nodded. "That's awesome, dude. Thanks so much!"

Ryan stood with a bashful grin on his face and he sipped from his beer before replying. "It's cool, man." He nodded. "Anyways, Adam was looking for you two."

"Oh, fuck! I forgot about Adam." I pulled my arm away from Julian's waist and grabbed his hand. "Let's go, Jules! Catch 'ya later, Ry!"

"Ry?" Ryan laughed as I pulled Julian away.

"Where do you think he could be?" I asked Julian as we weaved through groups of people.

"I don't know, but I do know one thing," he said, yanking me back so I'd stop pulling him. "...you're really drunk and I think we should call it a night."

I stopped to lean against him and I looked up with a frown. "This isn't like you, Jules. What's wrong?"

"Nothing, really." he said with a smile. "I just wanna go home and get into bed...with you." He whispered the last part close to my ear as he pushed my hair out of my face.

My face quickly heated up and I found myself smiling like an idiot. "Juuuules!" I elbowed him. "That's really cute, but I still don't wanna go yet."

"C'mon, Jade! This party is a drag!"

"But you love parties."

"Yeah, parties full of people who don't give a shit how experienced in the music business you are." he said with a scowl. "How the fuck did Ryan get us into this party anyways? We don't belong here. The beer is weird here, too! Fuckin' fancy labels and everything. Like, fuck off and just give me the cheap shit."

"Quit being a sulk!" I pulled away from him with a frown. "Everyone else is having a good time. You can't put a damper on that just because you had one bad experience with someone...who was it anyway? I'll kick their ass!"

"Forget about it." he mumbled. "I'm going home."

"Are you fucking serious right now, Julian?" I yelped as he began to walk away. "Stop being a baby! You said you'd stay..." I grabbed his arm and pulled him back. A few people stared at us oddly but I flashed them a scowl, making them look away.

"Sorry, Jade." Julian pulled away once again, annoyance flickering in his eyes. "I'll see you later."

"Ugh!" I stomped my foot on the ground like a child throwing a tantrum as he walked away. How could he just walk away from me like that?!

Filled with rage, I marched around, grabbing drinks off tables and gulping them down before I stumbled upon Nikolai sitting by himself in the corner of some room I walked into. A few people that were in the room walked out when they saw me. I shot them a nasty glare as they exited and I stumbled over to Nikolai.

"Niko!" I cheered, waving my arms around in the air for some reason as I sat down next to him.

"Jade!" he grinned, offering me his beer.

I sipped from it and handed it back to him. "Why are you alone?"

"I just threw up and I came in here to chill." he explained. "I have a really bad headache and it's quiet here. I was with Fab about thirty minutes ago, but I think he left."

"Oh, okay...mind if I chill with you? Julian's just pissed me off so bad." I said through gritted teeth. "I just wanna...I just wanna...ugh!" I balled my hand up into a fist, angry that I couldn't think of any words to express my emotions with.

"Woah, what'd he do?"

"He wanted to leave and I didn't want to! Then he got really moody and just fucking left! He left, Niko! Can you believe that, man?"

"Typical Jules." Nikolai chuckled lightly to himself. "Just don't worry about it." he then leaned over on his side and started humming 'Don't Worry Be Happy' to himself.

I started laughing as I looked down at him and patted his shoulder. "You're wasted, Nikolai!"

"I know, right?!" he laughed, spilling a little of his beer on his chest. "Oh, fuck!"

I helped him sit up and took his beer off him, finishing it off myself. I then wrapped my arm around his waist to help him stand up. My legs felt like jelly at this point, and it was clear that I was sloppy drunk too.

"How about we hit the road, hey Niko?" I said, leaning into him as we barely managed to make it out the doorway without falling over.

"That'd probably be a good idea." he nodded passively. "Let's blow this popsicle stand!" he shouted out, making a lot of people stare, and a few laugh.

"What're you lookin' at?!" I shouted back at all of them, shaking my fist.

I soon saw a slightly panicked Albert running over to us with a clearly very drunk and high Nick by his side.

"Shut the fuck up, you two!" he laughed grabbing my hand and yanking me over to him. "Time to go, yeah? Where's Jules?"

"Yes, sir!" I nodded with a goofy grin. "Julian the Drag went home." I then said with a roll of my eyes. "He's so fucking boring. I was having fun!"

"We were just about to leave anyways," Nikolai interrupted, pointing a finger with attitude I've never seen from him before. "...and we don't need your help, Mr. Hammond, Jr." He slurred his words, almost falling asleep on my shoulder, but Albert quickly ran over and hoisted him up a little.

I linked arms with Nick and we soon all found ourselves roaming the streets, calling out at any passing cabs.

"Hey, asshole! Fucking stop, would 'ya?!" Nick bellowed out onto the street as the fiftieth cab flew by.

Albert walked over and slapped him. "Shut up, Valensi! You're not getting your ass beat tonight!"

"Funny for you to say, Albie!" I cackled, kissing Nick on the cheek where Albert hit him. "Have at 'em, Nicky! Go get us a cab!" I pushed Nick forward onto the road and a car honked it's horn loudly as it weaved out of Nick's path, barely missing him and almost crashing into another car. Nick fell onto the sidewalk, pulling me down with him and we erupted into a fit of laughter.

"What the fuck, Jade?! He could've been killed!" Albert yelled as he tried to keep Nikolai upright.

"Don't worry, be happy now!" sang Nikolai, pinching Albert's cheeks. Nick and I sang along, embracing each other in a swaying hug as we laughed our guts out.

Albert swatted Nikolai away and pulled out his phone. "This is gonna be a long night."
