After waking up at 8 o'clock sharp, showering and getting dressed, I leaped onto the bed where Julian was sleeping and began jumping around like a child on Christmas morning. "Get up! Get up! Get up!"
Julian groaned and tried to pull the blanket over his head, but I beat him to it and yanked the entire thing off the bed.
"What the fuck is your deal, man?!" he whined, stuffing his head under his pillow.
"It's Albert's birthday! We should decorate the apartment so when he comes home from work he'll feel special."
"Feel special?" Julian scoffed.
"Is it a crime to wanna show someone I appreciate them?"
"I'm sure he knows you appreciate him. A few balloons and streamers aren't really gonna say much more."
I picked up a pillow and threw it at him. "Why are you such a downer today?" I pouted.
"Because I got rudely awaken way too early by some crazy freak!" he retorted, sitting up to throw the pillow back.
I pushed the pillow aside and stood up, huffing, as I walked to the door.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Julian called after me.
"To enjoy a delicious breakfast for one." I replied, giggling as he cursed under his breath.
After frying up some bacon, I began plating it, and as I stood back to admire my delicious work, a pair of arms snaked themselves around my waist. I could feel wet hair dripping onto my shoulders and a chin resting itself on my head.
I rolled my eyes. "Could you have at least dried your hair first?"
Julian chuckled and kissed me on the cheek, then spun me around to face him. Without saying another word, I pulled him closer and pressed my lips against his. He sat me up on the counter as my fingers grabbed fistfuls of his damp hair whilst the kiss deepened.
It was quite messy to say the least. There was a bunch of tongue action and saliva everywhere. Neither of us had even brushed our teeth yet! And since I was sitting on the counter, I'd knocked my head against the cabinets above it a few times, and when we finally pulled apart, we were both out of breath and our hair was a complete mess.
We burst out laughing and embraced eachother in a tight hug. As I pressed my face into Julian's chest, I could feel his arm moving, so quizzically, I looked up at him. That motherfucker was eating my bacon!
"You jerk!" I yelped, pulling away from him to grab my plate. I ran into the living area and dove onto the couch, where I began to wolf it down. "This is my breakfast." I snarled through a mouthful.
"I've already had my breakfast." Julian said with a wink as he eyed me up and down.
"You're gross!" I cackled. "But you may have the rest of my bacon." Julian's face lit up and he strode over to take the plate from me.
"I'm gonna call the guys and tell them to bring some stuff over."
"It's too early to babysit!" Julian whined.
"What the fuck are you talking about? You're one of the kids too!" I raised my voice at him before picking up the phone with a smirk. "If anyone's gonna be babysitting you all, it'll most likely be me."
About an hour later, the rest of the guys came over with bags full of typical party supplies and whatever presents they had for Albert. Nick, Nikolai and Julian began hanging up streamers because they were the tallest, while Fab and I sat on the floor, blowing up balloons.
"Fab, go easy on those balloons, man!" I cried out as I watched Fab turn red. "You're gonna pass out!"
"I feel so dizzy." Fab said, holding his head in his hands. "I think it was that fat joint I smoked before we came here-"
"You just blew up fifteen balloons in one sitting, you fucking idiot! Go lie down!" I grabbed the bag off of him and threw it. "That should be enough, anyway."
As Fab laid down floor and closed his eyes, pretty much passing out, I waltzed over to the kitchen to admire the guys' handy work. There was streamers draped all around the cabinets, the fridge and around the front door. And don't get me started on the trails of confetti all over the floor.
Nikolai came trudging out of one of the bedrooms, absolutely covered in brightly colored streamers. They were wrapped all around him to make him look like a mummy of some sort...and he did not look happy about it, so I quickly realised what had happened.
"Aww, Niko! What have they done to you?!" I giggled as I walked over to him to help remove the streamers. After doing so, I walked over to the bathroom to investigate where I heard childish laughter and conversation coming from.
I walked in to see Julian and Nick flinging streamers and fistfuls of confetti everywhere and I did my best to seem pissed off, but it was really quite funny.
"Why do we need decorations on the toilet?" I asked, eyeing the two down. There was even confetti in the toilet. Like...literally in the toilet.
"So Albert can festively take a piss!" replied Julian in a subtle posh accent. "You said you wanna make him feel special, so now the man can feel special—even when peeing!"
"Well, that's just great." I rolled my eyes, suppressing a laugh. "By the way, I'm not cleaning this shit up later." I muttered.
"You're no fun." said Nick as he made himself a headband out of the last strip of streamer they had left. He checked himself out in the mirror as Julian mocked his vanity, resulting in Nick jamming a fistful of confetti down his pants.
I flicked the both of them off before walking back out the door, stopping and turning on my heel to face them again as I'd remembered something. "And quit bullying poor Nikolai!"
"Never!" They yelled back in unison. Julian groaned afterwards as he tried to get the minuscule pieces of colored paper out of his underwear.
After all that, we watched a few movies, set our gifts for Albert down on the coffee table, and we talked for a while until the front door opened. We had the lights turned off so it could be one of those typical cheesy birthday surprises...even though Albert probably knew we would pull some stupid shit like this.
"Why are the fucking lights off?! I can't see shit!" Albert growled as he closed the door behind him. His hand searched the wall for the switch. "I had the shittiest day at work, and-" Once the light switched on, every one cheered and threw balloons and fistfuls of confetti around as Albert's frown turned into a huge grin and his face flushed red.
