I woke up at 6:30 and fed Duke. I put on my gear and made my drinks. At 8:15 everyone walked down to the field. We did the last demo and then split onto our respective fields. Our team was playing Chicago in the final. Jo and I did the lineup and then they took the field. At half the score was still 0-0. They went back out and had kick off. With two minutes left we finally scored. Hadley had won the ball in the middle and dribbled up. Kennedy made the run and got the ball. Kendall made the back post run and one touched Kennedy's cross for the goal.
The girls changed out of their cleats and we walked back to the dorm for the closing ceremony. Dino announced individual awards. Once the ceremony left the girls went up to their rooms to get their bags. I did room checks and gave them their ticket to leave. After the last one I went to my room and packed my things.
I put my stuff in the lobby and then went out to help check girls out. Duke and I ended up taking pictures and signing things for the girls. After the last girl left Anson found me.
Anson: well let's get your and Lindsey's stuff to my house and then we can do the campus tour.
Lindsey and I put our stuff in the trunk and then Anson drove us to his house. We put our bags in the guest room and then Anson drove us all around the campus. Both him and Lindsey explained different buildings and streets.
Anson: So is Duke coming with you to college?
Me: I don't really have another option.
Anson: well that takes out dorms but no one really know this yet. The place above Starbucks on Franklin street is being turned into an apartment next year. I'm trying to get the school to buy it since its considered on campus, if that happens and you commit its yours.
Me: really?
Anson: Definitely
Me: well I definitely have things to consider then.
We went back to Anson's and had dinner. I met his wife M'Liss and we talked for a while. Around 11 Lindsey and I went to bed.
TUESDAY
Lindsey and u woke up at 7 and got dressed. We ate breakfast and then Anson drove us to the airport. We got out and got our bags.
Anson: well Linds I will see you in a couple of weeks and Baby Horse let me know if you can make it for the July camp.
Me: I will, thank you for inviting me.
Lindsey and I went in and went through security. We got to our gate and boarded the plane. We got to sit next to each other and talked until we landed in Atlanta. We said goodbye and then went to our gates. I landed in West Point around 8pm and Brad picked me up. Back at home I showered while Brad got a movie ready. I changed and then we watched the movie. I fell asleep so Brad just carried me to bed and went to sleep himself.
