Kelley and I woke up at 6:30 and put our gear on. We ate breakfast and then went to training. It was really just a walk through to polish off some things. We went back to the hotel and had lunch. Kelley and I went to our room and took a nap. Our alarms went off and we went to dinner at 4. After we ate we put on out travel gear and loaded the bus. We got to the stadium and went into the locker room.
We changed and put our cleats on. We went out for warmups and I took my shots on Hope and Ash. Back in the locker room we out on our jersey's and lined up for walk out. The starters we Hope, Ali, Broon, JJ, Kling, Moe, Carli, Tobin, Kelley, Alex, and me. The anthem played and we took the starting 11 picture before taking the field.
The whistle blew and we kicked off. We kept the back and had a couple chances. Kelley won the ball and went up the right flank. Kelley beat her defender and crossed it in. Alex finished it in one touch.
Announcer: Goal from Alex Morgan to put the U.S up 1 nil in the 15th minute.
We set back up and Costa Rica kicked off. We won the ball in the middle. Tobin got the ball and passed to Alex while I made my run and got the ball on a breakaway. The goalie came out and I kept my shot low.
Announcer: Goal for Baby Horse in the 22nd minute to put the USA up 2-0. That was Savannah Solo's 10th international goal in 16 caps.
We had a water break in the 30th minute and then resumed play. The ref added 6 minutes and in the 48th minute Broon took a free kick and Carli was able to get a head on it.
Announcer: Goal for Carli Lloyd in the 48th minute. The US is now up 3-0 against Costa Rica at the end of the first half.
The halftime whistle blew and we went into the locker room. Coming back Ash came in for Hope, Sonnet in for Kling, Engen in for JJ and Horan for Moe.
Costa Rica kicked off and we fought over the ball. Costa Rica was starting to foul but the ref was at least calling them. Press and Allie came in for Tobin and Kelley in the 75th minute. I won the ball in the middle and played back to Allie. Press made the run and got the ball. Press was 1v1 with the keeper and shot.
Announcer: Press with the shot and goal to put the US 4-0 in the 79th minute.
Thefinal whistle blew and we got a cool down. We signed autographs and tookpictures with fans. I finished and headed back to the locker room. I changedout of my uniform and showered. I put on jeans and my t-shirt. We loaded thebus and went to the hotel. I ate what Dawn set out for me and then went to myroom and crashed.
