Ashlyn and I woke up at 6:30. We changed and then went to breakfast. My plate was already fixed so I hid underneath the table. Ashlyn sat down and I grabbed her leg.
Me: Boo
Ash: ah, fucking asshole
Me: me 2 you 0
Ash: you're lucky I didn't hit you
I climbed back up and ate my breakfast. After we ate we went to training. I put on my cleats and joined warmups. We did some defensive drills and then some attacking. Jill called training and we started packing up.
Hope: hey twins and Squirrel will you stay and shoot PKs on me?
Me: yeah sure
The staff left us a ball bag and the keys to the last van. Alex, Kelley and I grabbed the bag while Hope got in goal. Kelley went first and Hope saved it. Alex went but hers went wide, I went next and mine sailed in because Hope went the wrong way.
Hope: whoa how did you do that?
Me: do what?
Hope: your hips went left but you went right
Me: I didn't realize I did
Hope: go again
Me: alright
I lined up another ball and shot. Hope didn't even move. Hope told me to shoot left but didn't move. I got to choose whatever side and shot. Hope saved it this time.
Hope: I found your tell, its small but I found it
Me: what is it
Hope: if you go to the left your right hand twitches and vice versa
The 3 of us went a couple more times before Hope said she was good. We got back to the hotel and had lunch. I headed up to my room and I didn't hear Ashlyn so I figured she was with Ali.
Ash: boo
Me: mother trucker!
Ash: yes! 1 to 2 now.
We hung out for another hour and then went to our afternoon training. Kelley got to take over the team snapchat so she was in the training room. After that Allie, Alex, Kelley and I went out for dinner since we had the evening off. We found a place that had really good burgers and ate there. After we ate we went to find fireworks. Alex found spots in a park and watched the firework show.
Alex: why did I get a text from Hope asking if I've seen you?
Me: uh probably because I didn't tell her I left
Kelley: ooh
Alex: why did she text me?
Me: because I forgot to text her back earlier
Alex: well she told me to tell you that you're in trouble
Me: shocker
We went back to the hotel and it was 2 minutes till lights out. Hope didn't have time to come yell at me. I showered quickly and then went to bed.
