Next chapter starts leading up to the Olympics! - Blaire
Ashlyn and I woke up at 7. We went down to breakfast and ate. We got our gear and changed. We had a pre-game meeting and Tobin and I played soccer tennis until we had to load the bus. We made it to the stadium and went to the locker room. We changed into our game shorts and warm up tops. I laced up my cleats and then went out with Alex and Kelley. We jogged across the field a couple times to start.
Kelley: you know I bet you confuse people when can't see your numbers
Alex: then they look closer and see her chicken legs and that she wears her socks like Tobs plus her youth large shorts
Me: also all of you treat me like a little sister
Alex: ah you mean like this
Me: you asshole
Alex had pushed me into Kelley almost making me fall. We joined in the lines and went through the team stretches. Alex and I took shots and then went back to the locker room.
I put on my jersey and jacket. I grabbed my shin guards and lined up behind Kelley. Our lineup was Hope, Ali, JJ, Broon, Kling, Horan, Carli, Kelley, Tobin, Alex and Me. We did walkout and got the starting 11 picture. We took the field and the ref blew the whistle.
South Africa kicked off and we eventually won the ball. Horan played Tobin while Alex checked back bringing her defender with her. Tobin played a long ball that I ran onto. The keeper came out and I flicked it over her and into the net.
Announcer: Goal for Baby Horse in the 6th minute. US 1, South Africa nil.
We set back up and South Africa kicked off again. We played back and forth and had a couple chances. Carli won the ball and played me. I beat a defender and played Kelley. Kelley crossed it and Alex finished it.
Announcer: Alex Morgan goal! The US leads by 2
We set back up and after a couple minutes the halftime whistle blew. We went into the locker room.
Jill: Mewis you are going in for Horan and that's it for now.
We went back out and kicked off. Alex played it back to Carli. We lost the and then would win it back for a little bit. In the 62nd minute Sonnet came in for JJ and Dunn came in for Kelley making us switch to a 4-3-3. In the 70th minute we scored again.
Announcer: Tobin Heath to Baby Horse who crosses it in and Lloyd with the header. Goal US now leading 3-0 in the 70th minute.
Nobody else scored and the final whistle blew. Dawn handed out drinks and we signed autographs. I made it back to the locker room and changed into regular clothes. Some of the girls rushed to catch flights while a couple of us headed back to the hotel. I showered and then made sure I had everything packed. Alex, Tobin, Hope and I went to the airport.
We checked in and went through security. We said our goodbyes and went to our gates. My boarding call came and I found my seat. I landed around 8 and Brad picked me up. We went to my house and had dinner before watching a movie. My mom and I talked a little since she was leaving in the morning, Brad and I ended up falling asleep around 1.
