Hope and I woke up at 7 and got dressed before going to breakfast.
Me: Happy Birthday Squirrel!
Kell: thank you Baby Horse
Me: I'll give you your present later
Kell: ooh okay
We fixed our plates and sat down. We ate and talked before heading to recovery. I did air compression pants first, pool stretches, and then ended with and ice bath. We had free time so Hope and I watched Game of Thrones until lunch.
Lunch was at 12 and then we had a lifting session at 2. We had our own workouts and then group stretches. Once we finished we all went to our rooms to shower. At 5:30 we all loaded the bus and went to a restaurant to celebrate Kelley's birthday. We were all served by 7 and Kelley got her cake and then we were loading the bus by 8:30. Hope and I got ready for bed and then watched a couple of episodes before shutting of the light.
Hope: so I know you gave Kell her present earlier but what was it?
Me: oh a new wet suit and a swimsuit.
Hope: that's definitely Kelley
Me: oh yeah so my school had schedule previews and they also took yearbooks photos
Hope: photos this early
Me: yeah they are for our IDs
Hope: what about yours?
Me: Mr. Ainsworth asked if they could use my Olympic headshot and I just said sure because if I went on the retake day it would look like shit
Hope: language and your headshot was really good
Me: thank you
We talked for a while and then went to sleep.
FRIDAY
Hope and I got up and went to breakfast. We ate and then had free time. Hope and I watched Game of Thrones while we had our ice treatments. Lunch was at 12 and then I took a nap. While I was asleep Hope went to talk to Ash, Ali, and Alex.
Hope: so Savannah told me her sister's birthday is on the 9th. Do any of you happened to know when her mom's is?
Alex: I don't
Ash: and that's hard to ask her sister
Ali: wait what about Brad he should know
Hope: alright I can text him later. Also I think her composure is starting to crack
Alex: well as long as we can hold her together until after the 19th we'll be good
Ash: I agree, let's just make sure one of us I always with her or watching her.
Ali: so far other than the airport and obviously, the walkabout and the games she's been out of the media
Hope: yeah, let's try to keep it that way because you know once the media finds out her shit will hit the fan
Alex: yeah it will, well you better go wake her up we load up in 20.
Hope woke me up and I put on my training gear. We loaded the bus and headed to the field. Training was an hour and we ended as the sun was going down. Back at the hotel we had dinner at 7 and then Hope and I went up to shower. Movie night was in our room so Hope made me clean up some of my stuff.
The girls came in and we were finally able to decide on the Gunman. I barely made it 20 minutes before I was dead asleep on Hope. After the movie the girls left and Hope fell asleep too.
