i didn't want to skip over this even though its really short, anyways the next chapter will be the day before we leave for the send off games before Rio! it will be up in about 10 minutes! -Blaire
I woke up at 8 and had breakfast. I walked around town for a while and then had lunch. At 3 the hair and make-up team came. 4 hours later I was dressed and all the finishing touches were done. I got in the car and headed to the Microsoft theater. I had to do a couple interviews and then the pre-ceremony started. They announced the male athlete of the year first.
Lady: Now for our 2015-2016 National Female Gatorade player of the year is Savannah Solo. For her high school team Savannah had 31 goals and 18 assists leading her team to a record of defeated State Champion record of 27-0. Also just recently she was selected to represent the USA in Rio next month.
I went up and received my award. The other guy and I took pictures and then went back to our seats while they presented other awards. The ceremony ended and then the red carpet started. I waited until a bunch of other people went before I did. I'd walk about 10 feet and then would have to stop for more pictures before repeating again. I eventually go to the end and the was escorted up the stairs.
In the lobby of the theater I got to meet a lot of famous athletes. Eventually everyone was seated and the awards started being given out. A couple hours later all the ceremony was finished. I went back to my hotel and changed before heading to the airport. I landed in West Point around 3 and went straight to my house and fell asleep.
