Hope and I woke up and went to breakfast. After we ate we had recovery. While we did our treatments we were able to watch beach volleyball. I finished my ice bath and went to the room. I packed my suitcase and watched basketball game.
Hope: you're supposed to be packing not standing and watching
Me: I'm working on it.
Hope: well work harder
Hope and I finished packing and then went down for lunch. After we ate we loaded up and went to the airport. We took off around 2 and landed in Manaus around 6. We got to the hotel and Jill handed out room keys. I was distracted by the swimming event on TV across the lobby to hear my name.
Hope: Baby Horse... Savannah...Savannah Blaire Solo!
Me: huh what did I do?
Hope: come on lets go
Me: oh sorry
Hope unlocked the door and we went in. We unpacked a little and then went down for dinner. We got our food and sat down. As we ate the men's 4x100 relay come on. USA took the gold and a bunch of the girls tweeted support for the guys. Hope and I finished and went up to the room.
Me: will you unwrap me please?
Hope: yeah come here
Hope unwrapped the stretch tape and then wiped off the antibiotic cream.
Hope: now they're just bruises
Me: good, thank you
Hope: well I'm going to shower
Me: alright well I'll be watching the gymnastics prelims
Hope showered and then I did. We got ready for bed and watched the end of the gymnastics. We watched an episode of Game of Thrones and then fell asleep.
MONDAY
Hope and I woke up at 7 and headed down to breakfast. We ate and I watched the Equestrian event on my phone.
Ash: what are you watching?
Me: uh
Kelley: she's watching her cousins!
Me: hey!
Ali: the Equestrian?
Me: yes, I've done Equestrian before so I understand it
Hope: what haven't you done?
Me: not much
Alex: I bet I've done more than you
Me: I bet you haven't!
Alex: have to!
Me: have not!
Ali: why don't you two make a list and then I'll decide
Alex: okay
Me: deal
Once we finished eating Alex and I went to our rooms to start on our lists. When we finished was gave them to Ali.
Me: Soccer, Volleyball, Cheer, Softball, Track, Tennis, Dance, Swimming, Equestrian, Motor-cross, Gymnastics, Cross-Country.
Alex: Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, Dance, Swimming, Cross-Country.
Ali: Baby Horse won
Alex: what!
Me: ha ha
Alex and I walked out arguing. We went to Alex and Allie's room. We watched different events until lunch. We went down at noon and ate. Once we finished we changed into our red tops and black shorts. We got on the bus and went to the stadium. We walked around the field and took pictures. Back at the hotel we had dinner.
Once we all ate we grabbed our gear and went to training. We did a couple drills to polish off set pieces and turnovers. At 8:30 we finished and went back to the hotel. Hope and I showered and then had to go ice. As we did we watched the swimming finals. They ended around 11 and Hope and I went to our room and got ready for bed.
Hope: last group stage game
Me: I know it's exciting.
Hope: how's the ankle
Me: it's okay, hasn't been hurting more than usual
Hope: that's good...
Me: I'm scared Hope
Hope: of what?
Me: the media finding out
Hope: I am too but we don't have to worry until they know
Me: I know, goodnight Hope
