Thwaites
Halfway through the game, my lids were falling heavy and when I turn to glance at Tess, I find her curled on top of the couch fast asleep...
I thought she said she was not much of a sleeper?
I get shut off from the losing game ahead and I shut the TV and get to my feet.
Waking her up seemed like a very critical decision, but I couldn't possibly leave her out here.
"Tess..." I gripped her shoulder lightly and she instantly fuzzed awake, blinking at me.
She slowly pulls herself up.
I follow her until she was in her room and then I walk to mine.
I know I should've wished her a good night but it only came to me after I was inside my room.
This often happened to me. The words come to me after the incident is over with a couple of minutes.~~~~~
I wake up to my seven thirty alarm just in case Tess had any early errands to run.
I shower again and change into light clothes before I leave my room and walk to stop before her door.
Here came the waking her up decision again. Gah...
I knock thrice on her door and a moment later she gets it open and appears from behind it.
She was already dressed and that got me wondering if she's been waiting for me to wake up.
"Am I late?" I ask and she instantly shakes her head.
"Perfect timing." She chuckles but my frown deepens.
Her eyes were terribly bloodshot and irritated.
She lowers her gaze and walks out from beside me.
She smelled really good. The scent was both sweet and sultry...
"Alright, lets get going then." I head out and she follows me.
We get into the car and she lowers her shades onto her eyes and adjusts them on her nose before she pulls her hair into a high ponytail and fastens it.
She looked like she was ready to fight all her enemies today.
She was dressed in light boyfriend jeans, a white button up shirt, white sneakers, and a patterned cross bag.
Yes, I have a thing for fashion tastes...
"What car were you thinking about renting?" I ask her.
"Just-anything." She shrugged indifferently.
"For how long?" I asked.
"If I rented it for two days, where would-"
"We have two parking spaces." I inform her and she nods.
We park in the first car rental shop and we both leave the car.
Thompson
I find my old car for rent with a good price for 48 hours so I don't hesitate.
Adam helps with the bargain for further reduction and he gets the price he wanted in the end. He sounded awfully convincing, even to me.
Later, I'm handed the key and the man in uniform leads me and Adam to the black Nissan Sunny out front.
"Safe drive..." The Asian man smiles at me before he leaves.
