Thwaites

"Why haven't you ordered already?" I frowned at Tess as I took my seat before her.

"It's okay, I wanted to wait..." She shrugged and I squinted, shaking my head in disbelief.

"What do you like on your pizza?" I ask before I call the waiter over. I was starving...

"I'm good with chicken barbecue, Hawaiin, pepperoni, and umm-cheesy lovers." She purses her lips.

"Good. I'm good with anything." I nodded before I ordered a good collection and asked the waiter to rush our order.

"How was the search?" I asked pulling my wallet from the back of my jeans to place it on the table beside my car keys and phone.

"Good." She nodded.
"I just have to see the places myself before I decide." She added and I nodded at her.

"What else did you do?" I asked.

"I went to see Harry, our lawyer, but he's on a business trip. So it was a waste of a ride." She shrugged.

"What about you?" She asked.

"I went to see someone who has a project for me, we discussed it longly and then I left to see Cole."

"He was kind of stuck with something in work, I helped him out, then I called you and got here."

"Oh and, they want to meet up tonight, at our friend's place, he's having a pool party..." I inform her.
"I told them that you weren't feeling very well, but I said I'd ask you anyway." I conclude.

"But you guys can still go right?" She suggests.

"Nala is going anyway. I can stay with you." I shrugged.

"You should go too." She shook her head a little and I chuckled.

"Tess, parties are nightmares to me."
"It's not like I go there to dance and have fun."
"I just go for the drinks."
"Plus, there will be a lot of people from college and I'm not really in the mood for chilling with them." I shrugged.

Our order arrives and we instantly dig in.

"If you'll go, I'll come with."
"And Cole invited your friend Maddie too." I spoke and she chuckled a little.

"Madonna."
"Her name is Madonna." She corrects and I chuckle. I was terrible with names.

"Plus, why would I want to go? It's not like I party too..." She shrugs and I frown at her.

"Yes, you do."
"You dance with strangers." I shrugged amusedly and her face fell.

"They ask me-" She gulps.

"I'm not used to saying no." She nods once and her face slightly reddens.

She avoids my gaze.

"It's not a bad thing Tess." I frowned a little.
"Let's just hope you don't say yes to some guy who turns out to be a grabber." I chuckle and her eyes slightly widen.

"I can tell from the way he looks at me if he is." She nods assuredly.

"Ahah..." I point at her smartly.

"If you didn't, know that I'll have your back." I wink at her and she almost rolls her eyes amusedly.

Perhaps tonight I'll ball up and ask her for a dance myself...

"If we leave now, we can still make it to the party..." Adam speaks after we finish our mouthwatering pizza slices.
