Thwaites

"Adam?" I turn around and find her standing by the doorway.

"I can stay in my room tonight." She faintly shrugs.

"I know you can. Now is that a question or a statement?" I ask and she tilts her head a little.

"Get in here and close that door behind you." I spoke and turned my head back around.

I was sleeping on my front, facing away.

I hear the door shut a few moments later and then I feel her lower herself onto the bed.

I reach for the AC remote and turn the AC on.
The room felt incredibly hotter with two people in it...

She stretches down and then the lights go out, and the memory reawakens in my mind.

I gulped mutely.

Sleep Adam!
I ordered myself.

"How was the photoshoot?" I asked, wanting to break the ice.

"Good." She moved her head.

"What did you do?" She asked.

"I started my project all over again and tossed the old one." I sighed and silence stretched again before Tess broke it.

"What did Cassey want from you?"
"If I may..." She gulps.

I heard this foriegn voice in my head that instantly ordered me to lie.

"Nala tore the paper." I mustered a chuckle.
"I didn't get to know..."
"It was probably her number though, since she asked me to call her." I guessed.

"But I mean-did you bump into each other before it?" She asked and I frowned a little.

We sure did bang instead of bump...

"Yeah." I uttered.
"She asked if we broke up since you weren't with me." I chuckled...
"Someone told her we had sex..." I clear my throat and she chuckled.

"She believed me..." She chuckled again.

"Does that make you a good liar?" I wonder.

"I don't know..." I feel her shrug.

"What did you do at the party?" I ask as if I didn't know...

"Just-this and that..." Her chest heaves.

"Danced with a nice stranger..." She chuckles but it was fleeting.

"Got his number?" I smirked in the dark.

"Nope..." She popped the P and I chuckled.

"Why not?" I wondered...

"I guess, he's just not my type." I felt her shrug and I smiled sadly.

"You'll find your type..."
"Don't stress." I chuckle.

"What?" She scoffs.

"I'm not even looking..." She shook her head and I grinned.

"Goodnight Tess." I sighed.

Thompson

I felt frozen and my insides were numb.

Sleep was threatening to go away. I shut my eyes hard, but the cold was unbearable...

I felt the bed cover on my arm and reached for it to pull it over my body, but it was stuck.

Goddamn it...
I was already starting to wake up.

I forced my lids apart and scanned the darkness around me.
My eyes spotted the AC's white light and when I squinted to read the numbers, I found that it was set on 18 degrees.
