Thompson
"White cocktail party."
"Here's your dress, by Elie Saab." She smirks with a wink and I grin excitedly.
"And..." She holds a finger.
"Should I set you up with a date?"
"A male model of our choice?" She wiggles her eyebrows suggestively and I chuckle a little, my mind taking me to Oliver.
My smile hangs a moment later.
If only he was here...
If only we were still together.
I was surprised he didn't even stop the break up from happening...
He was so indifferent, which was very unlike him.
I hated thinking that maybe I hurt him.
"Tess?" She snaps a finger and I apologize.
"I know someone who might want to come with..." I speak up.
"The guy who picked you up last time?" She gets excited and I frown a little, amused by the color that suddenly crept up her face.
"You seem excited." I chuckle.
"Umm-just between us both..." She inches closer and speaks in a hushed tone so Anita wouldn't hear us.
"He's so hot!" She whispers breathlessly.
"But I mean-if you have a thing for him then-"
"Does he have any friends?" She chewed down on her lip coyly.
I chuckle.
"I don't have a-thing-for him." I shook my head.
"And yeah, he has friends." I chuckle and she snickers excitedly.
"You're totally fixing me up with someone." She points at me and the thought of fixing her up with Cole instantly provides itself in my head. I couldn't tell if I was being selfish of Adam or if I just thought she's Cole's type...
Adam is a bit of a terse...
"What about you?"
"Do you have a date for tonight?" I ask and her jaw slightly drops.
"Consider him gone if you're getting me someone who'd take me." She claps her hands excitedly and I grin at her.
"Let me see what I can do about that..." I nod at her and instantly fish for my phone.
But then I remember that Adam had no clue what I do yet.
What was I going to tell him?
Maybe I could just lie about it being a work party.
But what if something happens there and I get exposed?
"So?" Madonna elbows me and I force a smile before I get to my feet, stepping out to dial Adam's number.
On second thought, I hang up even before the first beep and dial Cole's number instead.
Cole readily agrees to come with and I ask him to tell Adam on my behalf. Since I chickened out, worried he might get my invitation the wrong way.
"Umm-can we manage to sneak a couple in?" I ask Madonna and she instantly waves a hand informing me that she could.
"Alright yes, Nala and Brandon too." I tell Cole and he assures me that they'll all be there before we conclude the phone call.
"Tell me all about him while we get your hair done." She takes me to the grooming chair where Joseph was waiting for me to do my hair and I chuckle before I shove my phone back into my bag and start telling her the very few things I knew about Cole.
I didn't know much, but I could tell Madonna was more interested in the features, or atleast I had hoped she is...
Thwaites
"White cocktail party?" I squint at the world.
"No fucking way."
"Not wearing a suit, you can forget it Cole." I sigh, tossing my head back tiredly.
