Universe: My Human AU
I realized that writing the type of story when it's already specified in the universe was redundant so I removed it.

Ugh was probably word that described Peridot best right now. She was typing at her computer, trying to find out what the error was in her code. "Raghhhh!" Peridot growled, running her hands through her short blond hair. "Why is this cloddy system so bad!" Peridot heard a soft knock, and turned around to see Lapis standing at the doorway of her room.
"Hey babe," Lapis greeted while walking in and kissing Peridot on the forehead. Flustered, Peridot weakly flailed her arms at Lapis. "Stop it, you adorable dork," Lapis laughed, pushing away Peridot's hands. "Anyways, can I go already? I promise I'll just look." Peridot was about to say no when Lapis did the look she knew drove Peridot crazy. "I only have a few mistakes to correct!" All Peridot got in response was a small peck on her cheek and more adorable looks. "Oh fine. Come back soon though!"
"Lapis!" Peridot yelled, "I thought I told you to wait until I finished my projects for the day and then we get it!" Lapis was standing in the doorway, holding panting dog, a pleading look in her eye. "But look at him!" Lapis pleaded, shoving the small dog into Peridot's face. Peridot pouted before taking a moment to look at the dog in Lapis's arms. It had soft golden fur, and large brown eyes. It whimpered at Peridot, making all of Peridot's anger melt away. "Fine," Peridot grumbled, walking up to Lapis.
Half an hour later when the pair finished going over all the things for their new dog, Peridot and Lapis were speaking on the couch while the small dog ate from a small bowl. Peridot snuggled into Lapis. "What do we name it?" Peridot asked, leaning back on the couch. "He," Lapis corrected. "And I don't know." "What about Tiny Clod!" Peridot exclaimed, making Lapis burst out laughing. "Peri, we are not going to name our dog Tiny Clod!" Lapis giggled, ruffling the flustered blonde's hair. "What about Pumpkin, since I bought a pumpkin costume for him when Halloween comes?" Peridot whipped around. "You WHAT?" Peridot yelled, making Lapis laugh again. "You bought a pumpkin costume for our new puppy? Lapis!" "What? He looked ADORABLE in it, so that's why I brought him home! Imagine if some other people bought him, and named him something boring like "Rocky"!" Lapis argued, sticking out her tongue. (No offense to anyone with a dog named Rocky.) "Oh fine, Pumpkin it is," Peridot muttered, failing at trying to hide a grin.

I like to imagine that one time, Lapis and Peridot are about to kiss when Peridot realizes Pumpkin is watching them and whining cause he's hungry and Lapis gets jealous cause she leaves for food haha
