It had been a few months since Lapis and Peridot started dating, but it was still a strange concept for Peridot. She wondered how she got in this mess. Not that she hated Lapis, in fact it was the opposite. It was the fact that Peridot wondered why Lapis Lazuli would fall for her out of all people.
Peridot was a small, blonde nerd, who only wore green sweatshirts and flannels. She had glasses, and without them, she was a blind bat (even though bats aren't actually blind). Her hair was basically a huge triangle, the hair going up always gravity defying. In the summer, Peridot would wear muscle shirts and nerdy t-shirts; no wonder Peridot was confused why Lapis would date her.
Lapis was the girl at school you'd never even wish to date you, because you had no chance. She wore crop tops, tank tops, t-shirts with plain colors, skirts, ripped jeans, anything that was in, she'd wear. What made Peridot even more confused was that she looked good in all of those things. She had dyed blue hair, with bangs and an undercut. You'd think that type of hairstyle wouldn't really fit someone like Lapis? Of course not, at least to Peridot, but she thought it made her hot, which she was surprised about. In fact, the fact that Peridot was attracted to anyone surprised her, and the fact that those feelings were mutual? Impossible! But here Peridot was walking down the hallways of their school next to the school hottie.
It had been 3 months since the pair started dating, but dear god, Peridot was sure she'd never stop blushing close to her. Everyone around was staring at them, confused why the school nerd would be walking and talking to the hottest girl in school. "Hey look Peri, you're popular now!" Lapis said with a shit-eating grin, bumping into the short girl. Said short girl mock-gasped, now also wearing a shit-eating grin. "What do you mean? The great Peridot has always been popular! They are simply amazed by my looks!" Peridot removed one hand to put her hand on her chest dramatically. "Oh shut up, you dork," Lapis snorted.
When the pair arrived at their class, the class where they met, which was all about robots. The laughing pair were about to enter, when a guy from another class yells to Lapis, "You're hot, and you should stop hanging with that nerd!" "I'm not hot, and Lapis isn't a nerd, you clod!" Peridot remarked back to him, smiling. "You're always hot dork," Lapis whispered in Peridot's ear, making the small blonde jump and blush, "no homo though." Peridot looked up at Lapis with an adorably confused look in her eyes. "Sike!" Lapis smiled as she slapped Peridot's ass, pushing her into their class. "L-lapis, you clod!"
