Peridot sighed as she turned off her laptop. She finally had finished her project, which had been exhausting to finish. Sighing, Peridot pushed down on her desk and sat down on her bed, only to feel a pair of arms wrapping around her.
"Hey," Peridot smiled, lowered her hands to put them over Lapis's. Lapis only replied with a mumble, burying her face into Peridot's green hoodie. "Something wrong?"
"Only that my true enemy has stolen my Peri." Peridot raised an eyebrow at her wall, looking behind her to look at Lapis's blue dyed hair.
"True enemy?" Peridot asked, her voice quiet. Did Peridot do something wrong?
"Homework. You've been ignoring me because of it," Lapis mumbled. Sighing, Peridot chuckled, slightly tightening her grip on Lapis's hands.
"First of all, it's called "focusing"," Peridot joked, removing her hands to do air quotes. "Second of all, are you jealous of a few instructions on a screen, Lazuli?" All Lapis did in response was growl and pull Peridot closer to her on the bed.

After Peridot let Lapis hug her for a while before gingerly removing Lapis's arms that were around her, and turned to face the girl. The two stared into each other's eyes, entranced, before Peridot put a hand on Lapis's, pale merging with tan.
"C-can.." Peridot looked away, flustered, "can I kiss you?" Chuckling, Lapis gave a small kiss on Peridot's cheek.
"Course you can, Peri." With this statement, Peridot was a blushing mess. She leaned closer and kissed Lapis.

The kiss may have been short, but it still left Peridot a blushing mess. Taking a glance at the Camp Pining Hearts clock, Peridot saw it was late, so she laid down on the bed, pulling Lapis down with her. The pair slept, Peridot burying her face into Lapis, Lapis holding Peridot.

     Peridot slept well that night, feeling warm and comfortable.
