It was the late afternoon, and the sun was almost setting, making the sky a mix of warm colors, seeping into the house of Lapis and Peridot. Lapis was petting their dog, Pumpkin, on one side of the couch while Peridot was sitting on the side and reading a book. Smiling, Lapis held up the small dog, laughing when Pumpkin tried to lick her face.
Pumpkin suddenly reached up a paw and tapped Lapis's nose, causing her to gush as the small puppy walked away. "Ahhhh, so cute!" she yelled. Peridot looked up from her book, smirking. She set down the book and leaped into Lapis's lap. "I know I am," Peridot smirked as she looked up at Lapis's blue eyes, brushing her blonde hair away from her face. Giggling, Lapis tapped Peridot's nose. "Of course you are, you dork," Lapis answered, kissing Peridot's forehead.

I'm sorry for being pretty inactive! I've had a few prompts, just not any motivation. Also, sorry this chapter's even shorter than usual, I have some homework to do. (Cough, totally don't procrastinate, cough)
By the way, do not worry about ideas, I had just spent half an hour procrastinating by looking at OTP prompts, so I'll be fine!
