Lapis didn't like the feeling in her chest.
The way her heart beat quickly at every occasion.
Every touch, smile, and laugh made her heart do flips.
She would stare at her lips before realizing those lips were asking her something.
"Are you okay?"
She nodded. Of course she was.
She remembered her friend telling her what crushes were.
"You want to kiss them, protect them, feel happy with them," Pearl explained.
She understood.
She interrupted Peridot's studying.
"I think I like you," she said.
Peridot only stared. Lapis worried of the feelings not being mutual.
Lips had met hers.
Maybe Lapis did like the feeling in her chest.
