This one's going to be so much shorter than the last, oh my stars, the last one was almost 2,000 words while most of these are ~500, ahaha...

Peridot danced around the barn, swiftly avoiding the meep morps cluttering the floor as she listened to music flowing out of her tablet, which was resting on the floor. Moonlight flooded through the barn doors and lit up the inside. She was sure that Lapis was sleeping on the truck sticking out of the barn. Ever since Steven showed her the past time, Lapis had taken a liking to sleeping, since there wasn't much to do around the barn. Pumpkin was also supposedly asleep close to Lapis; Peridot saw that he was asleep in her arms before she started singing. Peridot was incredibly bored, so she decided to try this "singing" out, although Peridot highly doubted it was any fun like Steven said. Peridot's tablet played the next song that came up: a song named "Haven't You Noticed (I'm a Star). Peridot sat down, listening to it's tune.

When Peridot had listened to the song five times already, she pressed repeat once more, and picked up the toothbrush Steven had given her.

Peridot clutched the toothbrush and smiled as the now familiar tune passed into Peridot's head. (Do gems have ears? I don't want to take it for granite)
"I can't help it if I make a scene," Peridot sung out, being quiet, "stepping out of my hot pink limousine.
"I'm turning heads and I'm stopping traffic,
"When I pose, they scream, and when I joke, they laugh."
Little did Peridot know, Lapis had waken up when the song played for the third time, and was now watching from the door of the barn, casting a shadow across the moonlit floor. Peridot of course didn't notice, as she was caught up with the song.

"I've got a pair of eyes that they're getting lost in,
"They're hypnotized by the way I'm walking,
"I've got them dazzled like a stage magician,
"When I point, they look, and when I talk, they listen, well-"

"Everybody needs a friend,
"And I've got..." Peridot paused for a moment as the tablet finished with "you, and you, and you", wistfully looking at the wall where the back of the truck was jutting in, as if she hoped Lapis thought of her as a friend. Lapis opened her hand and stared at her palm at that, feeling guilt.
"So many, I can't even name them," Peridot had whispered out, but with the next lines she got her voice back.
"Can you blame me? I'm too famous."

Lapis took in a deep breath and joined in on the next verse, which the two sang more quietly.
"Haven't you noticed I'm a star?" The next lyric Lapis sang alone.
"I'm coming into view as the world is turning," Lapis sang quietly, then wondering what the small green gem was thinking. Said gem was surprised, but joined in again.
"Haven't you noticed I've made it this far?
"Now everyone can see me burning," the two sang as Lapis snuck up on Peridot. She was sitting on the floor contently, grinning as she sang along with the familiar voice that belonged to Lapis.
"Now everyone can see me burning," Lapis grinned as she was directly behind Peridot.
"Now everyone can see me burning-" Peridot's singing was interrupted by Lapis lifting her up in her arms.
"Lapis, what gives?!" Peridot yelled as Lapis held Peridot up by the arms. All Lapis did in response was hug Peridot. "Eep! Clod.."
