Chapter 3

I unlock the front door

"I'm home" I yell but I know nobodies home

My dad died a couple of years ago and after that my mom hasn't really been a mom to me, she's hardly ever home she started dating a guy with some kids so she basically lives over there with them but she does come by ever once in awhile to make sure I haven't burnt down the house.

I go make myself some dinner and sit at the kitchen table by myself.

I hate the quiet.

I hear my phone go off.

"Hello" I answer

"Hey it's zero"

Why would Zero call me? We don't talk outside of school

"What's up" I say confused

"Are you going to the game tonight?" He asks but he should know that I'm not

"I wasn't planning on it. Why?"

"Well we are all going you should come too" he says in a flirty voice,I try not to roll my eyes

I really don't want to go but I hate being in this house by myself.

"Sure. I'll meet you there" I say

"Cool see ya" he says and hangs up

I sigh and grab my leather jacket and walk out the door.

I can't believe I'm going back to school.

I see the lights at the football stadium.

I walk past people I can feel them staring at me probably wondering why I came.

I accidentally stumble into someone.

I turn around and see Ruby "sorry" I tell her

"It's fine" she says nervously almost scared to say the wrong thing she probably thinks I'll beat her up

"Nice talk" I say and walk away

I really don't want to be here but everyone has already seen me.

I see all the football players and cheerleaders standing right in front of the steps to get on the bleachers shouldn't they be doing something.

I wonder if I could just climb? I shake the thought not wanting to break another bone.

Maybe if I just keep my head down they won't even notice me

I start moving fast so far nobody notice me but just as I get past them and put my foot on the first step .

I hear the devil speak and by devil I mean heather I honestly don't know how Felix puts up with her either he's a lot stronger than I give him credit for or a lot Horner and stupid

"Well well well if it isn't hazel at a actually football game" she says I turn around to see her smirking and everyone staring at me

"Yeah it's me contain your enthusiasm" I say sarcastically

"I didn't think freaks like you actually came to games"

I look over at Felix who won't make eye contact with me

"Just supporting our team they need all the supporters they can get obviously" I say since they have lost every game so far

I swear I see Felix lips twitch but it must be the lighting or something.

Heather does not look happy by what I said she looks like she wants to tear me apart.

"Hey hazel we are over here" zero says and gives me a wave

I see Felix glares at zero.

"Go sit with the other freaks" heather spats

"Yeah you go sit with the other airheads" I smirk "go tigers" I say before I walk up the stairs

"Come sit next to me" zero says

I sit next to him I recognize some of the other people with him

"So did anyone get caught at lunch?" I ask zero

"some of us got away but a couple of them are gunna have detention for awhile" he says "you got away pretty quick" he smirks

"Cat like reflexes" I laugh he laughs too

"So tell me again why we are at the football game surrounded by the assholes of our generation?" I raise a eyebrow

He laughs "it's not so bad they have good food at the concession stand"

"Then hand me some skittles" I put my hand out

"Here you go" the girl Bella pours me some skittles
