It's dead quiet as we walk in.
"Let's go" Ruby says a little scared and I don't blame her
I continue walking around, I check the living room and then go into the kitchen. I open the pantry in the kitchen and see cans and some snacks that I can tell are somewhat new. "Someone's been here" I whisper
"Maybe a hobo or something" Trevor whispers
I walk to the bathroom and then one of the guest room but still nothing. We check almost every room. The last room is the room we all slept in the times we were here. I put my hand on the knob and push open the door and try not to cry.
"O my gosh" I hear Ruby gasp
"D-Daisy?" Felix stutters not knowing what to think
I can't help but smile, there she is. Daisy laying on her bed wrapped in a blanket looking at us like she's seen a ghost.
"Daisy" I say because I don't know what to say
"W-what are you all doing here?" She says looking at every one of us with shock
"We are looking for you" Trevor tells her
I walk closer to her and notice she doesn't look like herself, she looks tired and has bags under her eyes. "You all came looking for me?" She says in disbelief
"We wanted to make sure you were okay?" Ruby says getting emotional
"I didn't think you would actually come look for me" Daisy looks down at the floor and I can see she's trying not to cry
"You are our best friend of course we would come look for you" I tell her and sit at the edge of the bed
She looks at me and gives me a sad smile" I'm so so sorry I put you through that I just didn't know what to do"
"Why would you want to run away?" Felix asks her
"I was scared and I-I knew I was getting worse and I just didn't want anyone to see me like this I wanted everyone to remember what I used to be like before-" she rambles "I didn't want to have everyone watch me die" she starts crying
I hug her gently because I feel like she's about to break, even though it's only been a couple of weeks she does look so different.
"Daisy everyone is so worried about you no one knew what happened" Trevor says to her
"I thought I was doing the right thing and sparing everyone" she wipes her tears away
"Listen I know your scared" I take Daisy hand "but you should be around people who care about you"
"I know I just didn't know how to tell people and then see the look on there face" she shakes her head
"Cole really misses you, he's going out of his mind" Felix tells her and she looks at him and I can tell just hearing Cole name makes her sad
"He was the hardest to leave behind" she whispers
"You owe it to him to tell him why you left" Trevor says gently
She nods her head but I can see she still doesn't know what to do.
"Daisy come home" I just say
"I don't think I can" she shakes her head
"Would you rather be here all by yourself " I gesture to the room " or surrounded by all the people that love you" I almost beg
She looks around the room and then look at us "I'm so sorry" she tells us again "I shouldn't of left."
"Come home" Ruby pleads with her
Daisy nods "I'll come home with you guys"
I breath a sigh of relief because I thought she was going to say no.
Felix helps her out of bed and carries her to the car, Ruby and Trevor grab some of her things.
We all get back in Felix car to go home and I can't help but smile that we are all together again.
